Oh, that sounds perfect Mrs LW!0

Thank you for the news of the TAs, Candlelight.
Welcome, Poppy. I don't post on here very often but read regularly.0 -
Pleased to hear about the allotment. We cannot rent our village ones out for tiny rents that include water.
Thank you all for your welcome, will post again shortly0 -
We've been on the waiting list for an allotment here since the day we moved in. We'd already flagged up interest with the local council which is luckily based here in the town but had to have proof we were actually living here before they'd put us on the list. Then we had to wait for all the letters being sent out and finding who giving up on the plots before they could offer us one. We're very happy with what we've taken on and hopefully will find it as fertile and productive as those plots around it are already.0

Great news on the allotment MrsLW am sure that HWK will have many a happy hour pottering away up there.
Welcome Poppy usually see you over on the daily thread
So may of our virtual friends are suffering the effects of stormy weather at the moment, it’s just very blustery here but unseasonably mild. I have just got back from the farmshop and there are already a lot of small branches down and on the back roads, wouldn’t want to be driving along them in the dark.0 -
Well, if all else fails, Lainey, and the roads become impassable, you'll just have to get the hoss out! Hitch her to a cart, plenty of room for a supermarket shop there! One life - your life - live it!0

A very blustery West Midlands here, and we haven't been out to do our weekly shop. Instead Himself hung the new curtains for me and they look good and really quite thick so should keep any draughts out.
Such good news Lyn about the allotment and so quick as well, Himself will be as happy as Larry now he has his own piece of heaven. Everything seems to have fallen into place and so quickly , BE HAPPY.
We haven't anything planned for the weekend other than doing the shop tomorrow morning, I don't know whether things are likely to improve or whether Storm Callum is here for a day or so.
DD1 has now reached her 3 stone weight loss with SW, I am so proud of her, and of course it will be good for her arthritis in her knees, the reason she had to give up nursing. Obviously that won't go away but hopefully she won't be in so much pain.
No other news from TA yet, but as always sending love and gentle hugs to them all, what a lovely family they sound to be, and such caring DGDs as well, for ones so young.
SM thinking of you and the family problems you have, hoping you may find a way through them. It was good to hear your Mum is doing well, she will be relieved when the stitches are out and she has a treatment plan. I had a list of dates for radiotherapy and times. They asked what time of the day I would like and I said first thing because we only lived 15 minutes from the hospital and I knew they would be very busy later with patients coming from all over the West Midlands. I had 5 days a week for 5 weeks and each session doesn't take long at all.
Have a good weekend all xx0 -
TA has just posted on the Daily thread to say that her beloved Bob passed away yesterday after such a long battle with that dreadful disease.
Sending you all our love Chris, be kind to yourself now, your lovely man is at peace and you and the family need time to adjust to a different life.
Will PM you in a few days when you have had time to yourselves

Good morning Candlelight . I've just posted on the daily as I noticed the post count when viewing the forum , a lot of posts for Sunday morning . While we never want to lose our loved ones there comes a time when we must . It wont seem that way now but the love and strength of a loving family will bring back the happy memories and there will be smiles and laughter.
Chris is a brave lady and her and Bob brought up a wonderful family together . My lovely late husband was also a Bob and treated at the Royal as Chris's Bob was for some time . I used to picture them there when they were doing the journey for inpatient treatment and overnight stays .
My hope is she will get some sleep having never left his side in the hospice ,
I need to catch up . I've been pretty well stuck in bed and am just about pulling myself together so will read through .
polly xIt is better to light a single candle than to curse the darkness.
There but for fortune go you and I.0 -
So sorry for your loss TA xx0
