OMG you lot must be 'up North' - for reference that's anything past Southampton for us :rotfl:
Not cold at night, cooler, yes but its been a lovely day down here, got all the washing done and dried - it's supposed to be wet and warm tomorrow, so a day of carp films, roast lamb and too much wine is plannedNote to self - STOP SPENDING MONEY !!

Sounds good to me Islandmaid! Did my little saIling trip on Wednesday - only went to a local marina - was going to go across to Ryde on Thursday but weather report not great and sailing in the rain isn't fun so I didn't do it lol! We stayed another night at the marina instead and came home yesterday. Saw the Italian sail training ship Amerigo Di Vespucci coming in to Portsmouth harbour at about 8am - she's an absolutely magnificent 3 master ship.
I took my boat off the pontoon at the marina and put her on the mooring back home without any help or instruction. Hester will understand how pleased I am!
Temperature dropping here too - still in cuf off's but got my blanky over my knees & toes
Planning a visit to Ryde next weekend - fingers crossed!!Small victories - sometimes they are all you can hope for but sometimes they are all you need - be kinder than necessary, for everyone you meet is fighting some kind of battle0 -
Silva - I spent many a year playing 'railbait' - we hope to go to Lunenburg next year, where my Pa lives and do this

There's something about the schooners and big sailing ships isn't there - Bluenose looks superb - hope you get to do it IslandmaidSmall victories - sometimes they are all you can hope for but sometimes they are all you need - be kinder than necessary, for everyone you meet is fighting some kind of battle0

My heating came on yesterday morning as well - but I am oop North. Having said that, it got out lovely and I got two loads of bedding dry. Doesn't look as hopeful today. Just had a cooked brekkie, church later and then sorting out the bedding and towels - I really know how to celebrate a BH
After a week of UN exclusion zones between the cat and dog we have made real progress - the dog will let the cat walk round the house and the cat has stopped growling and hissing at the dog. Mind you, the cat tried to jump over the dog lying in the dog basket yesterday, misjudged it and landed on the piano keys. Grieg it wasn't ….. more like Eric Morecombe - all the right notes not just in the right order.“the princess jumped from the tower & she learned that she could fly all along. she never needed those wings.”

Morning all.
Certainly Autumn is threatening. It is downright chilly this morning. I was absolutely forced to make a cup of coffee, a hot water bottle and crawl back to bed at 6.00 this morning.
Also I am hungry, which spells doom to my weight losing project.
I have absolutely no plans for today, which is just as I like it. Hopefully TV catching-up, maybe some reading and knitting. What's not to like?
THOUGHT FOR SUNDAY

Wild day here, wet and windy. My brain wants to knit but the rest of me is too tired and would rather waste time floating around FB and Ravelry. Also I really really want ice cream..0

That really doesn't sound like a fun way to spend Sunday, LW  sorry about the impending cold. Hope it goes away on its own.
Sounds as if you've been having a busy time seafaring, silva
It is chilly today and our heating came on this morning. That was good because when I had my shower I didn't have to wait ages for the hot water to come through and then rinse the soap off at top speed before it went cold again because I'd used all the hot left in the pipes0
