  • Sort of news on the home front, we've been told our buyer has signed contracts but her solicitor (yawn!) apparently has yet another question that he/she wants answered before he can allow her to exchange so we're still waiting and waiting yawn... and waiting! We thought we'd got the removals firm sorted out as arranged with the man who came to do the assessing for a quote to go on the Tuesday and for them to deliver on the Wednesday as it's such a distance which meant I'd be able to clean the house on Tuesday after the contents had gone and then we've booked a night in a local hotel in case there are any glitches before driving up to Gloucestershire. Got the quote online last night when we drove back from Gloucestershire and they have us being loaded and driven on the Tuesday and them driving back on the Wednesday and the office girl is being very obstructive this morning, looks like we'll have to find another firm, really annoying!

On the other hand Nell gave me a load of clothes yesterday that she was going to put in the clothing bank and said go Ma have a try on at home some of them might be things you like...so I did... and it's only taken 70 years but I've found I'm a GURL! I'm wearing a skirt for the first time in ever so many years and I'm cool, it's fab!!!

  • So they say but that's not what we asked for so I think they'll not be getting our business we've one other option who WILL load us on Tuesday and deliver on Wednesday slightly higher quote but these guys have decided they tell us 'to save us money' by doing the pick up and delivery on the same day and the other end won't be out until the Wednesday it's crazy! also not the firms place to make decisions for us! can you tell I'm cross?

Love the idea of you in a skirt Lyn, only because I'm looking to move to skirts across the rain, hail and shine spectrum. My troosers are so restrictive. I don't know what my plot neighbours will be thinking about it though. One lady, who left, my friend now has her plot, was known as the village bike because she gardened in shorts. See what I'm up against?

I'll just have a quip ready like with every thing. Summat like "Boudicca fought in a dress, I'm sure I'll be fine amongst the cabbages" and laugh it off with a knowing smile.

Anyway, enjoy the airflow Lyn. :D Raining here mar, temp 22 though, we may get thunder. I can feel it in my breathing again.

It won't surprise you to know that I haven't lifted a finger this morning yet. You're all so much more interesting than even my breakfast!

Fuddle, well done with the heart rate :T As for what you garden in, it's your own darned business. Personally I can often be found gardening in pyjamas. The ideal possible gardening clothes are to my mind Turkish village pants:

when I lived in a village there way back when all the women wore them. They have an additionally large gusset for roominess :D

Long skirts would be good for gardening, then you could kneel on them.
  • Culottes! all the comfort and freedom of a pair of jeans but the decorum and breeziness of a skirt!

I garden in shorts, jeans, bed wear, skirts, dresses, anything really. No one else's business.

We supplied hand held fans for our DDs recent heatwave wedding. I was hoping to get at least one back to bring home, but they all disappeared. Will have to purchase another one.
