Well that was a great morning, at our friends OH took ill, we managed to get him home and he is on his way into LRI once again.
They had him in the ambulance for ages before they set off, doing another raft of tests......so its a waiting game for me.......no idea how to get to the new A & E, so may sit this one out till I manage to get hold of them and find out if they are admitting him.
I plan to rest on the bed this afternoon with the phone in easy reach and plenty of iced water, I am really fed up with the heat, it makes me feel so uncomfortable.0 -
Oh lawks, csarina life just loves to kick you when you're down, doesn't it?If your dog thinks you're the best, don't seek a second opinion.;)0

csarina you must be worried but you're doing the best you can for you. It might help you to know that I have travelled in an ambulance, waited in A&E and hooked up to machines in monitoring all by myself. DH was mother seeing to the children on more than one occasion and I now prefer it to having people around me when I'm ill. I'd only worry about others worrying! When I'm alone I just have me to think about and can deal with it all so much better. I hope that bit helps you even just a little.
Lets hope you get calming news soon.0 -
Csarina Good to get some rest, your OH is in safe hands, and you need your strength for when he is back - take care xNote to self - STOP SPENDING MONEY !!

Been haring around trying to get washing done before the weather breaks. We are still being promised thunderstorms but it's like jam always tomorrow never today
But it would be a pain as our tumbler dryer packed up two months ago and it has been very easy to forget about it when the first bits you peg out on the line are almost dry by the time you've finished pegging out the rest
I've worked out why I felt so rough yesterday and still do today. I have very low blood pressure and apparently heat makes your blood pressure drop. Good news for everyone with high blood pressure of course which is more common than low blood pressure. I've never had any symptoms with mine but I think it must have dropped a bit too low yesterday and today
Still the temperature is due to drop a bit though it should still be nice so I'm just going to take things easy and wait it outIt doesn't matter if you are a glass half full or half empty sort of person. Keep it topped up! Cheers!0 -
Hope that you hear further news soon Csarina and that it’s positive.
Oooh naughty Indi LW hope you have sufficient tape0 -
Csarina rest while you can. Love to you and your OH.
Maryb thanks for info on low blood pressure and heat might explain some of how I have been feeling.
LW dogs chewing forms, that brought back happy memories. Well not of the chewed post but of the adorable springer/collie who did the chewing.
Ok I have idled away most of the morning online and to continue my self prescribed recovery I am off for a lie down upstairs.0 -
csarina I'm so sorry to hear about your DH and hope you get good news very soon x0

Artnoon all - still in sunny France - 36 degrees today but we went up the mountain to a lake where it was a cool 25... Home tomorrow.
Sorry about your OH csarina.
We have swum in rock pools, rivers and lakes - last year when here i did a lot of walking but it's too hot right now. But i was later here last year - mid August and the weather had broken. Apparently down here the French think summer ends on August 15th.
Home to rain and thunder tomorrow apparently.I wanna be in the room where it happens0
