Hi dangers
Yes it is Twmbarlwm mountain. It can be seen for miles around, although it is on the other side of our mountain IYSWIM, if the wind is in the right direction we can smell the smoke. This is the 3rd deliberately started fire and the fire service are having problems now as it has reached the tree tops. There are also 2 fires which have been started above Merthyr Tyddfil.
We had about 10 mins of rainbut I hope we get a good downpour on Sunday, if the weatherman has it right.
Nargle sending you and your OH a hugFailure is simply the opportunity to begin again, but this time more intelligently0 -
Those friends with poorlies to look after I hope know that they are under our wings and being held in caring and support so no matter how heavy that burden feels we are always there helping lift it, just a bit and make it just a bit lighter to carry xxx.0

I think nargs is currently under huge claps of thunder and bright lightening. She's miles away from us and I can still see and hear it. Hang in there nargs. By the looks of it we're not going to see the full moon tonight!0

We have had an inch of rain but it has now stopped and it's a bit cooler though still humid. There was one almighty clap of thunder which shook the house but it came a good four seconds after the lightning flash. Lord alone knows what it must have been like directly underneathIt doesn't matter if you are a glass half full or half empty sort of person. Keep it topped up! Cheers!0

We had rain for a short while here in the Southwest today ,it's cloudy now with that calm before the storm feeling,it's just typical that the weather has been glorious for weeks now but on Sunday when we are having DGS naming ceremony out in a garden it is going to chuck it down all day
It was DGS first birthday today so me and his mum took him to the living coast exhibition,he loved the stingrays and they come right up to the glass and look at you he was fascinated,we also went to the gist shop where I bought myself a bag of peanut brittle which I am now stuffing my face withOriginal Debt Owed Jan 18 = £17,630 Paid To Date = £6,510 Owed = £11,1200 -
Thanks everyone for the support. OH had his first chemo Wednesday last week and was fine until last Saturday. Then the evil side effects struck. Sleeping on and off most of the day, no appetite, horrendous diarrhoea (you know the expression "the bottom dropped out of his world"? In his case the world dropped out of his bottom...sorry, TMI.....)
By Wednesday morning he still felt rubbish and no sign of symptoms abating, so I took his temperature -38.8 degrees. Booger! Emergency admission to hospital. He is much better now and has been moved out of isolation as his bloods are normalising.
Fuddle - many thanks for your concern, I am coping but the stress has messed up my gut so I am trying to get that under control again. And yes, thunderbolts and lightening very very frightening in the Land of Nargle. One life - your life - live it!0 -
