I've had mine au naturel & short for a few months now and am quite ok with it...saves having my roots done every 4 weeks anyway! It lightens in the sun, but will probably have highlights in later in the year.2021 Decluttering Awards: ⭐⭐🥇🥇🥇🥇🥇🥇 2022 Decluttering Awards: 🥇

I think the trend for grey hair on girls with beautiful rosy complexions is lovely. You can see why it was fashionable in the 18th century.
On the other hand, scaffold pole grey atop a decidedly faded complexion - not so great. But one of the joys of getting older is realising it's ok to not care whereas if I were a bit younger I would probably feel guilty about Letting Myself Go. Lord knows, I felt guilty enough about all sorts of things
Now I just reflect philosophically that a mother's place is in the wrongIt doesn't matter if you are a glass half full or half empty sort of person. Keep it topped up! Cheers!0 -
I blame the ducks!
I stopped dying my hair when we moved aboard the boat permanently as I used to do it myself but now our waste water goes directly into the canal and I don't want to poison the ducks and other wildlife.
We had a lot of heavy rain early this morning but it's bright and sunny here now. we are waiting for the marina to open so we can fill up with water and diesel.
I hope Nargle and Csarina oth had a good night, hugs to anyone else in need.Chin up, Titus out.0 -
I am naturally black haired and very pale skinned. I let my grey roots grow to 2" and then had all the black cut off, and it looked and felt fantastic. Now it's very light platinum and I can put violet through it or pink through it, or beige blond. I'm enjoying being grey0

I can't be doing with hair dyes, never have been bothered, so I'm and always have been just as nature intended and gradually greying but only at the front, the back is still brown! Do I care? not a jot! As long as the old corpus Christie is clean, not smelly and vaguely tidy to hell with fashion, make up and pleasing other people with my appearance as I've said before I'm just me, take me or leave me as you will, I have a comfy and satisfying life!0

maryb, I let myself go years since. It must be about 20 years since I shrugged my shoulders and went. If grey hair is fashionable then I'm right up there. The less said about the face the better.
Hoping that Nargle and Csarina managed some sleep knowing that their dear ones were safe and being well looked after.
We have strong winds here, it blew a lot during the night and it must have rained a bit at one point, there are some dampish patches on the patio. I think I'm actually going to have to wear something with sleeves when I go out. The drop in temperature is a welcome relief.
Nothing much planned for today, a bit more clearing and sorting if I can be bothered. Otherwise I feel its my duty to read the paper from front to back, including all the supplements and doing all the puzzles. It is so important to be au fait with what is going on in the world, even the sporting world, and to keep one's mind oiled.
THOUGHT FOR TODAY
A rose can say I love you
Orchids can enthrall
But a weed bouquet in a chubby fist
Oh my, that says it all.I believe that friends are quiet angels
Who lift us to our feet when our wings
Have trouble remembering how to fly.0 -
Mrs LW's post - or was it Monna's :
WE HAVE RAIN! Only about 4 or 5 rumbles of thunder and about a dozen spit spots of rain, but it's a start.
It is quite dark and that's a novelty. It's even darker indoors due to the blackout material I have pegged to the curtains but even that's a welcome change.
The temperature hasn't dropped yet, but all in good time.[/QUOTE]
My DD is currently in South Africa on two-week vet nurse jolly learning how to use dart guns and do post-mortems on impalas (I won't bore you with the grizzly pics she has sent home:eek:)
Last night, I messaged her on FB to say WE HAVE RAIN! The reply came back WE HAVE A LUNAR ECLIPSE! :rotfl:Everything will be alright in the end - and if it's not alright, it's not the end ........0 -

nargle and csarina hope you managed some sleep, you are in my thoughts
We had thunder, lightning and RAIN
We have three water butts connected to each other so as one is full the water feeds the next. Just before the rain last night the wind got up and must have blown the three empty butts off their stands. I didn't notice until after the rain had started.
It was like one of those tv game shows, run grab a water butt, put it on the stand, then the second and third. Connect the butts together and then to the water down pipe. Doing this standing in 3 inches of water, water pouring out of the pipe still attached to the down pipe and in the torrential rain.
I'm getting too old for this, maybe need a flat and a window boxIf you walk at night no-one will see you cry.0 -
