Thank you for all the good wishes for OH it is so kind of you all. They have now decided after a scan that he did not have a TIA, but his neck is playing up again, the headache is back.........I am wondering if he jarred his neck when he fell off the blasted stool!! He did not get a bed until 3am this morning!! what happened to the four hour processing time one wonders. Even with the new A & E unit they are not reaching the targets. We are also back to the falling down syndrome. He fell in the washroom this morning.
He is being moved from the ward he is on, but they do not know when, they have told him he is going to be in for at least 2 more days. I was in for an hour and a half this afternoon, stepson is hoping to go in this evening. I will go again tomorrow afternoon.
I took the largest dose of my back painkillers I could last night and had a reasonable night, woke once for the loo and then went back to sleep, did not get up until 8.45am. So quite rested.0 -
Sorry they are keeping your other half in hospital. I expect they are going to do some tests.
The hospitals are full to overflowing with people who are with suffering the heat. They cannot manufacture beds during the night.0 -
I don't wear make up and haven't for years, I've never found a foundation to suit me as I'm very pale skinned, or I was until boating life made me weather beaten, also foundation tends to cake and crease on older skin. I was told by a makeup artist that when you are young you don't need foundation and when you are older it doesn't suit you, lol. who am I to argue.
Someone has taken me to task on my blog for giving a vulnerable person some money it's not going to stop me!
We have moored up at Kintbury, it's supposed to rain a lot tomorrow, if it does we will stay put. I managed to enter a wet tee shirt competition twice today when it poured down at a couple of locks and I got soaked. Fortunately CHS was the only audience and he was very appreciative! For now we're listening to a bit of Bryan Ferry and Rod Stewart, not singing a duet, just some music I like.
GP qually is on later, we'll watch it and then I'll cook our evening meal.
I hope the Nargles and Csarina and her DB are ok.Chin up, Titus out.0 -
Greenbee that's def true re skin tone changing. Add in illness to that and you can turn into a completely different person.. I'm so super-white I must be visible from the ISS!
But the good bit is that I got all new make up. I won't go out without it, I feel like a bag lady without make up0 -
I stopped dying my hair about 3 years ago and find that it's more blond now than it has been for years. There is some grey but it blends in well. When I was at a wedding last night a few people asked me if I'd had my hair coloured. It has recently been cut but I think the sun has lightened it somewhat. I don't wear much make up apart from mascara, I look naked without it!
We've had heavy showers all day, last night's rain was epic. Still warm but there's a very stiff breeze blowing.0 -
I've moved wards in the middle of the night before. I put it down to someone losing their battle so I could be in the ward I really needed. It played heavy on my heart I can tell you.
Csarina the news that it hasn't been a TIA is a positive for now and I'm hoping that you can see the positive in your OH being cared for further and not just sent home wondering. I know it's awful to be in hospital but it's better than you dealing with the unknown at home at the moment, I feel anyway. I hope you continue to be rested at night, it helps a bit eh. Hugs Csarina..0 -
Sorry Csarina I must have missed this, I hope yr hubby gets better fast x
Camelot we have a really horrible blustery wind up here and it's gone down to 15c, the RV just lit the fire0 -
I know we're missing Kittie but I wonder how Karcher and Burtha are - do hope they are OK and it's just RL and too busy at the moment.
Positive news Csarina! Hope Nargles DH is progressing too.Small victories - sometimes they are all you can hope for but sometimes they are all you need - be kinder than necessary, for everyone you meet is fighting some kind of battle0 -

I hear ya, South West Scotland terrible. Its midwinter, blowing a hoolie and driving rain. Its getting nippy in the caravan... nippy as in "should we put the heating on?" No, absolutely not :rotfl: enjoy being able to breathe for a change!0 -
You've put the fire on mar? It's a tad warmer here but the house is still showing 20 degrees inside, warmer than I have it in the winter!
Hoping Mr Csarina has a speedy recovery.0
