Fuddle, you should maybe look into Reiki. I think the practitioners can use crystals.
Helena
It's possible. (Yep....that means I've done Reiki - to Master level). I'm still not quite sure what I make of it though.....
Can't recall re healing - but re "other things" - well I set up a crystal grid when it came to buying this house to ensure that there were no glitches with the buying process (having lost the "house that should have been mine" when it came to buying my starter house back along).
There could have been problems with it - as the vendor was a tricky/dishonest sort of person and I found out subsequently that other people were after this house besides myself (locals at that - in an area where other "locals" often believe "locals" should come first:cool:). In the event - my "competitors" didnt get a look-in.
In another connection - a friend of mine told me she'd set up a "protective shield" (Christian variety) round my last house. Well it had a double one then - as I'd done so too (different variety). Don't know whether my current house has a double shield too - as I've done one on this one too (with those previously mentioned neighbours it felt rather necessary:cool:). So - yes - I have done various "New Age" type things to protect myself from them.
Perhaps I ought to look a bit more again into things like this - having rarely used any of it - though I also recall doing "cord cutting" between myself and a man that was acting distinctly irresponsibly towards me (yep...abusive alternative health practitioner....so "irresponsible" was the correct word....).
One does need to watch out for the charlatans and users in this sort of thing just as much as in more "conventional" spheres of life. There's a lot of egos around in this...0 -
Morning all.
Tuna I hope the situation is resolved soon.
Fuds, you go with whatever floats your boat, I have an assortment of crystals and various other things, I don't do candles as I'd worry about them as the boat is wooden.
CHS and I have spent the morning at the hospital getting his knee and hip x-rayed, the results well take a week or so.
Stupid question of the day. How much benefit do you need to claim fraudulently before you go to prison?Chin up, Titus out.0 -
Evening all. LW - does the anti snoring spray work?
https://www.amazon.co.uk/Helps-Stop-Snoring-Throat-Spray/dp/B00VGQWXAW/ref=sr_1_3_a_it?ie=UTF8&qid=1532347549&sr=8-3&keywords=helps+stop+snoring
which is a liquid spray, and I'd say his snoring is reduced by 90%.camelot1001 wrote: »I usually go swimming in the mornings before work at a pool near school but as I'm off for 6 weeks decided to go to my local pool. I had forgotten about the hoards of pensioners who potter up and down chatting in great big groups (hardly any swimming) and generally getting in the way of anyone wanting to swim lengths (me and a couple of others). An elderly woman got in and was obviously not very confident in the water so I moved away from the side to let her swim. Another woman stopped me (I actually used to work beside her) and told me that Mrs so and so had to be near the side of the pool. I told her I had moved over for her but she went on telling me that I shouldn't be there swimming up an down like an olympian (if only!)
Fuddle I always analyse my dreams, apart from the recurring nightmares that is. I can always remember them in great detail.
And I've been using various crystals for years; I have a large chunk of Rose Quartz that lives on my desk, among others. If your dog thinks you're the best, don't seek a second opinion.;)0 -

Hester - that's making us all VERY curious - just sayinSmall victories - sometimes they are all you can hope for but sometimes they are all you need - be kinder than necessary, for everyone you meet is fighting some kind of battle0

Hester First of all I had to look at your blog to understand your question I'm sorry to read about dear lovely John . It's a while since I've visited my favourite blogs but I think we all pretty well had an idea why his mood had dropped so much . I hope he can find peace and joy once again . He's someone I'd love to live next door to , life would be amazing .
As to your question . it's very hit and miss . The DWP IT system is like the NHS one now and in need of fixing . Figures used to be reliable but not so now . The people we tend to hear of our those that claim they can't move an inch and then put stuff on line of their cruise ship entertaining career or world wide boxing success .
I don't think there are any set points now for abuse of the system . Some people can be fined or sanctioned or at times sent to prison for fairly minor offences . Some of those may be previous historical false claims .
The prisons are full so it's hard to say . I think the length of time is more important than the amount when it comes to fraud as they will continue claiming and signing the paperwork when they know they are committing fraud each time .
Thank you Wolfy for replying to my Amazon question . It was a small bath product no longer available locally . I lost the will to go on and took it out of the basket . Last night I could magically put it back in the basket with no faffing and it's now on its way .

I did another order last night, as Mr LW tried to feed the pc keyboard a glass of wine, and killed it, so we need a replacement. Luckily @mazon have the exact same one.
We're currently managing with the old @lienware one, which feels weird (not a nice smooth action to the keys iyswim) and loads of the letters are worn off the keys, (particularly WASD, strangely enough...:rotfl: ) so if you don't know your way round a qwerty keyboard, it's a mite hard to use.Still, it'll tide us over - and I shall keep it, against something similar happening in the future.

LW although DH and I both have wireless keyboards, I have kept the new wired one that came with my desktop some 3 years ago in case of such an eventuality;)2021 Decluttering Awards: ⭐⭐🥇🥇🥇🥇🥇🥇 2022 Decluttering Awards: 🥇

Thanks Floss, Silva and Polly.
Timescales seem to be in excess of two years, amount could be in excess of £20,000.
Some money making blogs advise having more than one income stream. My tenant seems to be of the same opinion, four income streams all from different benefit claims!!Chin up, Titus out.0 -
