Fuddle it's very important to take care of the spiritual side of life. It has to be a balance of 50/50 for me, although I'm not personally into crystals.
Re the dream, my take on that would be that you feel young and foolish (back to school): that you don't know how to behave or what to expect (not having a timetable): and that you can't get through to people, can't communicate or they aren't on the same wavelength as you (the last bit where nobody was listenng).0 -

I've had back in school dreams - but I'll admit interest in "back to first self-contained home" dreams.
After years having to live in bedsitland - I had a modern unfurnished public sector flat that was actually pretty okay of itself and certainly in a nice setting (as regards Nature anyway:cool:). I find myself back in that flat in dreams sometimes. Am guessing because it was pretty okay per se - though I knew I had to move on when I got the chance (combination of only a flat, only rented and some of the newer tenants moving into the area were a bit 'hair-raising').
It was the combination of drug-selling going on nearby in one of them and employers had started to "Hear About" the area and I didnt want to be judged wrongly and denied a job I would have otherwise got because of their growing awareness of the "social problems" there - and I knew I had to take my chance to get out if I got one.
I'm guessing it means something along the lines of "If only Society as a whole hadnt started getting steadily worse since then (ie that was the 1970s and still 'good and getting better' at that point when I moved in). Maybe also a bit of "If I'd known then what I know now - about Society - would I have made different choices?".0 -
Thanks for the welcome everyone,I'm still reading old posts and I'm not sure I will ever catch up, I like to read about what everyone's been up to because I'm just nosey like that:D
I really need to get up off my bum and do something productive,I'm supposed to be cleaning the chickens out but just realised I forgot to buy sawdust, there will be loud complaints coming from the coop later when they realise the housekeeping hasn't been done:rotfl:Original Debt Owed Jan 18 = £17,630 Paid To Date = £6,510 Owed = £11,1200 -

I am now on a train hurtling at goodness knows how many mph towards the south west corner of France. I spent the morning in Paris - just walking and then treated myself to lunch as i won't arrive until this evening.
It is hatha yoga that i do. Fuddle, if you can afford it, some places do one to one sessions (mine does, but i am a long way from you). That way you would know you were doing the postures correctly, a couple might help you. My classes rarely have more than half a dozen people in them, of all abilities and no-one is there to judge.I wanna be in the room where it happens0 -
A house in a dream = yourself. So if you dream of your first house, it can mean that part of you sort of wishes you were young again, and life was as it used to be.
If the house in a dream is ruined and dilapidated then that reflects how you feel about yourself, I used to have these when I was very low with ME.
If the house is a high rise and you can see for miles or down to the street, then that means you think that finally you're seeing the whole picture.0 -

Renting on a poor-reputation local authority estate is not necessarily a bad thing ...my parents were local authority renters from 1975 on an estate that over the 30 years of tenancy became one of the worst areas in the town, gradually improving again after 20+ years. Both parents applied for & got good jobs in civil service and local government - no issue over being associated with the sink estate where we lived. My elder brother was offered a place at Cambridge - no issue about the drug dealing & murders on our estate.2021 Decluttering Awards: ⭐⭐🥇🥇🥇🥇🥇🥇 2022 Decluttering Awards: 🥇

Things can change back for the better - and Major Money has been spent on that particular public sector estate since I was living there. Don't know what the tenants are like there these days, ie whether there are still "problems" going on there.
I was rather conscious that I'd failed several job interviews for reasons that were nothing to do with my qualifications/experience/etc. Variously:
- one interviewer asked if I was aware that something I'd noticed there was a health hazard. I had....
- one said a perk of the job was private health insurance. These days I'd probably regard it as a perk. But back then - I said nowt and my face probably said plenty:cool:
- one was me being in the wrong political party from their pov
- one was me being surprised to find at interview that the job wasnt as "neutral" as I thought it was. There was an antisocial element to it - and I said nowt again, but my face probably said plenty
So - by the time I'd had those things happening on the one hand and another interviewer had liked an idea of mine so much he'd nicked it, but gave the job to a woman he fancied more than me (just as well in hindsight - as he was obviously one that regarded his secretary as a "perk of the job" iyswim:eek: from what I got told about him subsequently).
Add those things up - and I didnt dare risk a "black mark" against me when I gave my address....I managed to "lose" jobs anyway with my politics....
It all settled down eventually when I got a Civil Service job. The deal was I did the job fine and they ignored (or skated over) what they noticed me getting up to in my own time....0 -
Speaking of doors or diors . It reminded me of the talk a while back about fairy doors . As I was settling into bed that night I thought we could have our own fairy door on the fence . Hesters doormat and milk bottles optional .
Hope you're managing ok NM . You can only do what you can . It's been warmer here today so I hope you and dd and gs get some time out during their stay .
Off to wash my hair , out early tomorrow .
Onebrokelady Keep an eye on the chooks . Mar is a great lover of animals and that's all I shall say .
When you talk of reading back do you mean this thread or all the old threads ? I don't think our collective life spans here would let you read from day one to now . You'd be trawling through the workhouse , the time everyone got fed up and went down the pub and many . many more .

There but for fortune go you and I.0
