Welcome Onebrokelady.
I'm looking after friend's budgies whilst they are on holiday, goodness they make such a noise! I may have to cover them up soon and pretend it's night time. I was told to remember to close the living room door when I let them out - er, no, they will not be going anywhere, I've seen the mess they make on said friend's curtains!0 -
My 9yo niece has a fairy door into their shed "for when it's cold & raining"...think it might have stuck shut with all this excessive summery weather2021 Decluttering Awards: ⭐⭐🥇🥇🥇🥇🥇🥇 2022 Decluttering Awards: 🥇

Camelot my grandad and my great-uncle on mum's side both had blue budgies, both called Joey...every single one was called Joey
Grandma didn't replace last Joey after grandad died...probably because she had to clean up when it had been flying around!

a lot of allotmenteers have all but given up the watering, just too much effort with a tap and a watering can but what is surprising is how well some plants are coping, like cabbages and carrots and even courgettes. Just vary basic watering tonight and 8x 2 gallon cans. No sign of a break in the weather, not for weeks
I am sure now that I prefer the cold, I have resorted to taking valerian and melatonin in a capsule and it did indeed knock me out for the whole night, thankfully because somehow I am having to try and pack lots of stuff and store outside the house in the garage, which is s facing and mega hot. Its very tiring but I haven`t nodded off any time I sat down, so the sleep must have been refreshing. I am using a fan all nght, certainly helps too as does healthy hoof which has magically stopped that dreadful itching under boobs. Must be acting like a barrier to moisture0 -
isn't that a coincidence Onebrokelady? I've just read your diary this afternoon and feel like I already know you and now to find you posting on here!!. You've been doing so well on the debt busting but everyone deserves a bit of letting off steam. And this place could outdo Iceland anyday:rotfl:It doesn't matter if you are a glass half full or half empty sort of person. Keep it topped up! Cheers!0

fuddle I have recently started getting into crystals. A piece of yellow citrine by the bed to help promote sleep, black obsidian around my neck to ward off negativity, snowflake obsidian because it's pretty, rose quartz for healing. When OH was having his mastectomy the Macmillan nurse gave him a Hug in a Bag. It is a canvas bag stuffed with goodies for people undergoing treatment for breast cancer. Amongst the contents were a piece of rose quartz and smoky quartz to aid healing. The Crystal culture spreads far and wide. One life - your life - live it!0

Hope you're managing ok NM . You can only do what you can . It's been warmer here today so I hope you and dd and gs get some time out during their stay .
Off to wash my hair , out early tomorrow .
Onebrokelady Keep an eye on the chooks . Mar is a great lover of animals and that's all I shall say .
When you talk of reading back do you mean this thread or all the old threads ? I don't think our collective life spans here would let you read from day one to now . You'd be trawling through the workhouse , the time everyone got fed up and went down the pub and many . many more .
