Fuddle - don't think anyone here will decry your thought and ideas. There is still so much about the balance of mind and body we don't understand. TBH I don't care what people believe in if it brings them peace of mind and contentment - so many are still floundering for years. You carry on doing what works for you.
Having a heart monitor fitted tomorrow - luckily only till Friday morning. Just what I need in this hot weather! I'm sure the issues I've had this year are all related to the virus I had at Christmas though. Ah well - mustn't grumble :)
There's a pile of ironing looking at me so I may make a start to eat the elephant ( NO not ours!)
Hoped dragons has a good day (What!!! My tablet is possessed!!!) Hope everyone has a good day!!!

I'm still trying to get my head round mar and normal in such close juxtaposition.

Phew! Fuddle, you are taking us into deep waters. I am so thrilled that you are finding such peace. We all have to find our own way through life and it is different for everyone. The fact that you have delved so deeply into dreams, crystals and chakras fills me with admiration. It shows that you will leave no stone unturned in your search for understandings, explanations and meanings and eventually you will find your way forward.

We are all spiritual beings and ignore this at our peril. We all follow the spiritual path that seems right for us. It does take a lot of searching and experimentation and isn't always clear, but is well worth the effort as our mental health depends on getting it as right as possible.

I have a very deep and simple Faith which I am always willing to share but would never try to impose on anyone. It has seen me through some horrible and traumatic times and over the years has carried me through with minimal damage. Without it I would be a selfish, bad tempered, mentally unbalanced person. (No comments please.)
As it is I am happy. I am fulfilled. I am blessed.

VJsmum. Enjoy, enjoy, enjoy. You have earned this lovely holiday. The green tinge to my face is mould, not jealousy. Honest!

tinydancer, I hope we do your family justice this week. Good luck with the hamster! They are all experienced escape artists.

    THOUGHT FOR TODAY

Fuddle, you should maybe look into Reiki. I think the practitioners can use crystals.

Fuddle, how interesting. I do believe in quite a lot of that spiritual "stuff", but like you, am not sure what to do with it :)
I often dream of a house I used to live in (was meant to be our "forever" home), it's always weird and not mine anymore. I've never looked up the meaning of it though.

I was on the phone to a private osteopath clinic as soon as they opened today. There's only 2 osteopaths and their next available appointments were 7th August or 21st August. I'm on their cancellation list, but don't hold out much hope with that. Will have to stick with the ice and heat, and exercises.

If you could live one day of your life over again, which day would you choose?

I'm trying once more to catch up so will wish VJsmum a lovely holiday and a more peaceful time for Tuna .

If you visited here Fuds you would see large chunks of rose quartz scattered about . Youngest always has her healing stone somewhere on her person . I got into a lot of alternative stuff back in the 60s . I know many have no option due to space restriction but like Kittie I did the feng shui thing too . I still do it now . All the beds here are high bedsteads with only space beneath them . The theory is sleeping above stuff clutters your mind and weighs you down . It may sound weird but it worked here . You're on an interesting journey so I wish you luck . My evening candles have been lit for many years to send some light and love into a sometimes dark world . If you aren't harming others do what feels right .

It is better to light a single candle than to curse the darkness.

There but for fortune go you and I.

Fuds you can get dvds for yoga , tai chi and all sorts of things . Hatha yoga is a gentle introduction . I've started Tai Chi again at home with a good dvd which can be chair based if needed but have found i can now do it upright too .

Whilst I'm not a believer in anything particularly I do believe that if it works for you then carry on. Good luck fuddle, I wish you well.

Have a good holiday VJs mum, sounds fab.

I usually go swimming in the mornings before work at a pool near school but as I'm off for 6 weeks decided to go to my local pool. I had forgotten about the hoards of pensioners who potter up and down chatting in great big groups (hardly any swimming) and generally getting in the way of anyone wanting to swim lengths (me and a couple of others). An elderly woman got in and was obviously not very confident in the water so I moved away from the side to let her swim. Another woman stopped me (I actually used to work beside her) and told me that Mrs so and so had to be near the side of the pool. I told her I had moved over for her but she went on telling me that I shouldn't be there swimming up an down like an olympian (if only!).

I'm so annoyed, everyone has the right to be there, we all pay but it seems to be an exclusive club on a Monday (The woman also told me that it was not a good idea for me to go on a Wednesday or Friday morning either!). I think I'll get up early in the morning and travel along to my usual pool.

    Sorry for the rant!

Fuds - second Pollyanna - Hatha yoga tends to focus on breathing techniques - good for anyone who has chest problems - also can slow down heartbeat.

Crud day at work today. Had an angry patient who couldn't understand that at 3.30pm, no I couldn't get him in for a scan same day (other practices have up to a 2 week wait, he wasn't happy with Wednesday!). Maybe he should live in England for a bit and see how long he'd wait for something non-urgent....

He could try living in Wales - even worse.

Friend of mine that needed cataract operations on both eyes had to wait quite some time before she got the first one (thankfully done now). When she innocently said to them "....and the 2nd one will be 4-6 weeks after the first one" the response was "Oh NO - make that more like a year wait":eek::mad:

I gather the waiting lists for things generally are often longer in this part of the country:eek::mad:
