    So glad they've been found.

Spending a fortune here on tinned sardines for visiting cat, I finally got close enough to cop a feel and said cat seems well fed its not dehydrated and isn't skinny. I think it is just the local ' Six Dinner Sid ' does anyone remember that book. I don't want to buy cat food so I'm feeding the cat on tinned fish as I'm not sure what else to offer.

CHS has gone from threatening death and destruction to reminding me to feed it and he says I'm a soft touch.
    Chin up, Titus out.

HH I have a copy of that book upstairs, DS2 loved it! How about buying a small bag of dry food that can be kept for visting felines?

Excuse me? I thought it was CHS who was fretting about the cat so much that you bought the sardines to pacify him. CHS, not the cat.

Oh sorry, I forgot that it must have been your fault. Guessing he's not going to be rewarded for that remark.

Beyond brilliant news about the children in the caves being found. It was one of those things so awful that my mind wouldn't go there.

It's too hot. I had a cool shower before even thinking of going to bed. I did feel better but I think it has prepped me up. Not looking forward to tonight. A breeze has blown up here but it doesn't seem to have dented the temperatures at all.

It's Lunch Club this week. At least we have agreed on Eton mess for puddings, so no cooking involved there. I would love to give them salad, but they are very funny about that. If we put as much as a salad garnish on the plates an awful lot is thrown away. So it's roast vegetables with theirgammon. At least all I have to make is a cheese and onion quiche for the vegetarians, for once we don't have to make something different for the gluten-frees.

The fan is on and I am going to attempt to sleep. I may be roaming these pages before the morning if I'm desperate.

Wishing you all a comfortable night. Mar, get those pillows arranged.

Ooh my kids loved Six Dinner Sid when they were little. He was right up there with Hairy McLairy :D.

That shoulder sounds painful Mar, hope you get some sleep.

I'm here. Wish I weren't but combination of worry about offspring (do we ever get to a stage where we don't?}, temperature and audible evidence that DH certainly CAN sleep means that sleep for me just ain't gonna happen

Until half an hour before it's time to get up
It doesn't matter if you are a glass half full or half empty sort of person. Keep it topped up! Cheers!

CHS won't eat sardines so he's happy for me to give them to the cat Monna.
Ouch Mar, sorry to hear about your shoulder.
Mary, lots of worrying going on here too, DD had surgery last year and something has gone wrong, we'll find out what this afternoon and my son in law has a Dr's appointment at 11:20 that is probably bad news and I giving him a lift to the Dr's.

I'll come back later to post properly but want to say to Hester...this is just one of those days. It will be an anxious one for your family. Hoping that the news will be better than expected for your DD and son-in-law. Will be thinking of you all on and off all day. x

I'm amorher not sleeping well...DH got his head bitten off earlier for asking if I was alright. After getting up at 6.15, showered, sorting clean & dirty laundry, dressing, putting iron & board away, putting breakfast & pre-packed lunch into lunch bag, putting washer on, leaving note & cash for cleaner and trying not to trip over the cat under my feet all before leaving for work at 7.25, he's lucky he didn't get thumped! He's away tonight so cool bed & early night for me :)
