Already on to the honey thing. We have a producer about 7 miles away that sells in our local farm shop. We're sticking with it but as such there is no improvement. The pair of us will continue for as long as we can source it it might help next year. Thanks though :)

Champion Lyn, I'll pick some nettle tonight and give it a try. It's supposed to be good for hives so it's worth a go. I'll also bring home lemon balm and mint for a jug of water.

I swear by lemon balm tea too. When the girls have me irritated I nip over (need it in the yard!) to pick a bit, pop it in boiling water, then cool and sup.I'm so sure it helps to calm my annoyance... maybe it's just a the 'nipping over to the plot' bit that actually helps though. :D
  • I think the lemon fragrance helps too as lemon oil is used in an oil burner to promote calm and tranquillity! it's a student thing at exam time.

:o I don't own any trousers either, apart from my waterproof ones for dogwalking in wet weather.
If your dog thinks you're the best, don't seek a second opinion.;)

No jeans here. I wear trousers for work but prefer skirts, and pretty dresses! I absolutely hate tights, can barely tolerate stockings if I must! Dare I confess to wearing knee-highs if the skirt is long enough? :rotfl:

Almost packed, taking very little for our 5 days in Wales :j mostly suncream and hats!! Just 2 skirts,4 tops and a dress. Also one very light weight wrap and 2 pairs of sandals. May pack swimming costume...

We shall be lunching at a pub on the way and having a picnic tea on our hotel balcony :D
I sooooo hope the in laws enjoy the trip.

Pls forgive any typos, am in direct sun and can't see my tablet screen !!
I have changed my work-life balance to a life-work balance.

You sound so down Tired Trophy, I do hope you get well soon.

I'm waiting for my cousin and her love lovely husband to arrive, they are not known for their punctuality although there's no hurry. They can get lost going on the simplest of journeys, they are only coming from Carlisle today, a straight road that would take any normal person an hour and a half, they left there at 2!

Another cracking day here, had to go for another shower after cutting the front hedge.

Another cause of reacting to sunlight is Pears soap. I am going to change back to imperial leather. You can have a shower without soap just before going out or switch to ordinary soap or shower gel. I can't use shower gel I get a rash in a very embarrassing place.I have to be careful with soaps so only proper soap not modern ones. imperial leather still make the original but I can't use the white stuff.

I don't possess any jeans either. Most are made for tall people so I end up with the crotch around the knees. I would not be without trousers because my my legs are covered in spider veins. Some people will stop me in the street for one particularly big one. They say did you know your leg is bleeding.

fuddle It's my opinion that parents should not be self medicating for children, they need medication according to their size. I was really surprised my doctor told me to get on the scales and then did a lot of calculations before prescribing me vitamin D for my osteoporosis.

Evening all. Lovely lecture in town and a couple of hours reading in the garden. OH made tea--very similar to what we had last night.

I drink lemon balm tea at work during term. I make it up in my flask, although i use tea bags that have lemon balm and cammomile (I think it is clipper? or one of the other similar brands). Unfortunately it isn't sold in our local shops so I usually order it online. I did try drying my own for the winter but found the leaves were tasteless when dried.

I have a box of lavender on my bedside table to dry now. I've also just read there is a lettuce shortage

Fuddle, I once reacted to the sun on holiday. The pharmacist said it was an allergy but when I investigated more I decided it was likely a reaction to the suncream. I now try to use the zinc ones and haven't had an issue since, although it is a pain.

I don't self medicate NM I use either kiddy over the counter hayfever stuff or follow the directions for children's ages on a generalised packed. I would never dabble with my daughters health.
