Hugs Hester I am sure he will calm down. He is probably feeling and idiot for buying a magnetic light for where there is no metal. I'm sure he will find somewhere to put it or alternatively he could glue of nail a bit or iron or steel to the wooden frame.
I got a quite exciting letter this morning. They have offered the flat at Jubilee house to someone else but if they decide not to have it Would I still be interested. Of course I would!! Just waiting to be sure they are back from lunch. Then I will phone them. The flowers I bought yesterday will be my parting gift. They only cost me £5.
Oooh fingers firmly crossed NM!!Must use my stash up!0 -
We have those fly curtains Fuds, I love them. So do the cats! They do a pretty good job of keeping stuff out."Start every day off with a smile and get it over with" - W. C. Field.0

NM everything cross-able is firmly crossed.nursemaggie wrote: »It's a pity we can't all just teleport.
Mr LW has had a mad fit today - he decided to dispose of half a tonne of assorted gibble out of the loft. I think this stems from my pointing out to him that we need to work towards emptying the loft, as soon neither of us will be able to access it. I've never been able to, and he's finding it harder by the week.
Trouble is, there's just too much stuff up there to be able to house it all "downstairs" in the bungalow; so something's gotta go!
Anyways, we took my wheelchair out of the car (where it normally lives) to make extra space, and filled the car to brimming twice with stuff to go to the tip. Anything half-decent has been separated out to go to the chazzer, of course.
I am now completely cream crackered from taking stuff that he passed down, sorting it, tidying it to go in the car for transport ("car tetris", anyone?) and in between times, doing a bit of hand-washing (a dress that runs better than Usain Bolt if washed with anything else) and making stuff ready for our dins tonight.
I'm thinking there might with any luck be a pint of chilled cider in our immediate future..... :beer:If your dog thinks you're the best, don't seek a second opinion.;)0 -
LW i think you deserve at least 2 pints - but only when you've sorted the athletic dress!2021 Decluttering Awards: ⭐⭐🥇🥇🥇🥇🥇🥇 2022 Decluttering Awards: 🥇

Happy Birthday dear polly _party_ Hope you're having a lovely afternoon with your family xx
Good luck nursemaggie
monnagran I think you're meant to point out the good points of the house rather than the flaws :rotfl:
They do sound lovely though. May a good offer coincide with your finding the right place to move to!
LW Chilled cider definitely sounds good!0 -
oooh, nursemaggie, everything crossed! Do you think today is the day when we both take the next step forward?
Polly, Do have the happiest birthday ever. I haven't given you the birthay cake icon because it would never be big enough or pretty enough for what I would love to give you.
Ah! Susie Watson, now we're talking. I have an Apple Blossom mug that I bought about four years ago and I adore it. It's the mug I use all the time. It's probably all I'll ever have owing to the eyewatering prices of everything else in her collection.
Can I come up and live with you and run a tea shop just like your friends. How perfect would that be? Lots of mismatched vintage china, upcycled furniture, books and homemade goodies. Utter heaven. You have sent me off to happy, fantasy-land.
Hester, would you like me to come up and help you push?I believe that friends are quiet angels
