Silva, that's not good! Hope u feel much better very soon!
NM, this could be the one, I so hope so!
Monna, sounds very promising and your buyers will have appreciated the honesty.
    Happy birthday Polly x

Art was fun, I now have a picture of a beach scene including a parasol with a beer logo on it.
I shall not be putting it on display, it's rubbish! :rotfl: :rotfl: :rotfl:
I knew as soon as i saw the tutor's pic that it did not appeal to me and so my painting was never going to be any good.
I shall use the techniques we learnt to paint from one of my own beach photos when i get a day to myself (in 2023, i expect!).
I have changed my work-life balance to a life-work balance.

    Hello Fencers,
have you got room for one more?
I have been living in 'interesting ' times lately and my resilience reserves are almost used up!
I'm not actually a new user, I've been an MSE user for just over 10 years, but managed to lock myself out of my account, couldn't remember my password, so decided to start again :-)
I love Old Style and Kon Mari and hope to get back on track.
PS Can anyone tell me how to get back to the old green layout? I much preferred it.
    Linda x

Pollyanna i could see the smoke from Winter Hill from our road, didn't know what it was then though. Not sure GMF&RS have the resources for 2 moorland fires :(
Hester is he in the cut yet? :rotfl:

Can you remember you old user name Linda ? There are a few times people have had problems and managed to get their old account back .

A while ago there was a big update and nearly everyone had to change their password . Some like myself took the chance to also update a now defunct email account .

I am asking because as far as I am aware the option posters were given when the new skin appeared to click to retain the green format may no longer be an option . Perhaps someone who has joined mse since then may know differently .

Meanwhile you can leave a question for Andrea on the site feedback thread if you wish and she may be able to advise .
Meanwhile this fence expands for all who join us , rather like the magic porridge pot . Everyone is welcome and we all know and understand interesting times very well .

I hope you join us even if you have to use the new format while someone hopefully points you in the right direction re the green screen .

Thanks Floss of course they have gone to the highlands. I had forgotten. Hester's post would have had a reply from her by now.

Hester I hope by now he has appologised. I am sure it was because he did not want to admit he was a fool. I guess you laughed, and I do agree, It was very funny. hugs if he has not.

    Thank you pollyanna26.
I think I may stick with my new user name as my old one is potentially identifiable in RL.
The green one seemed more user friendly., but there are worse things to worry about, so if it can't be changed, I will live with the blue :-)

I think it was Andrea who sorted mine out when I got a new computer.

    Happy birthday Polly.

Fingers crossed for NM & Monna.

    Get well soon SS

Thanks for all the offers of an alibi. He is still alive and is currently sat on the back of the boat fretting that the cat, which is stiil outside, might be hungry or thirsty. I'm happy to give it water but TBH if it was hungry I'm sure it could catch it's own supper in the surrounding fields.

I've spent a lovely day with DD1 its her birthday on Saturday, she is 37. I sat and waited whilst she had her bits waxed, from toe to navel, then we had a mooch around the shops and then went to Henry & Joe's for a meal, we had sea trout, DD was able to drink as I was driving.
    .
DD is going to a posh wedding in a couple of weeks, it is someone on her inlaws side of the family, they look down on DD as she is a lowly foster carer whereas they all have important jobs is fashion/tv/beauty!!
    Chin up, Titus out.

Lancashire are fighting it too Floss . When you see the different regions that have joined with the Saddleworth fire and now Winter Hill it beggers belief that all we hear is cuts for all essential services .Like many parts of the uk the nw is like a tinder box .
I watched a senior fire officer talking of the sheer exhaustion of the teams near saddleworth as they fought for days day and night .
This is where the cuts show too few bodies now to cover such scenarios .

I was with friends earlier and someone remarked that this sort of weather and a divided nation sparked both the Brixton and Toxteth riots . I'd never wish to see that again but I feel there is a point when things become too much for those at the sharp end .

    Ok. Where's the list?
Medications - safely delivered so OH's tablet dispenser is now stocked up until 10 July.
Non-appearance of milk delivery. OH spoke to them today, crossed wires so deliveries will begin next week. Fine by me.
OH managed short walk round park with dogette today. Says he has been really tired, I reminded him it is a common side effect of the treatment and that he did well to get out today for a short walk.
At work I was kept going non stop but had assistance from others when required (we are a good team, always help each other) and managed to get away in good time. Work again tomorrow then next shifts are Tuesday and Wednesday next week. Loving the glorious summer weather we are having, who needs foreign parts?
