Sending love for the bad day Lamewolf. It almost sounds like the throw you washed is as heavy as it would be to wash the sofa itself!
Islandmaid, I love shadebathing Bobbi!
Deleted_User, sorry about your DGD. Congratulations on your future GGC.
Zumba last night was tough, this morning I'm feeling considerably steamrollered and a fair deal older than last night!Softstuff- Officially better than 0070 -
Morning all,
It is nice and warm here! I spent yesterday working with my laptop out in the garden.
Sunday we spent with OH's parents, sister and our niece and nephew. Pleasant, but a long day.
Monna, if only we could get some warning about the weather! I would have used some of my leave this week! Oh well. I shall make the most of what I've got.
Lamewolf, hugs!
Csarina, I hope your DGD improves quickly. Lovely news about the new little one on the way!
Mrs. LW--if anyone can revive a neglected plant it'll be you.
Hugs to all who need them.x0 -
Morning all.
FairyP, enjoy as much of the lovely weather as you can. Working outside doesn't really seem like working, does it?
Softstuff, I've always been attracted by the idea of Zumba. I think it is the beat that I like. If I ever find a DVD with gentle instructions for Zumba aimed at the old, unfit, fat, stupid, with 2 left feet I will buy it immediately and practice in the privacy of my own home. With the curtains drawn.
Today is my baby brother's birthday. 73 no less. We are separated by WW2. He is as big a procrastinator as I am, it's obviously in the genes. I found a wonderful card for him although I think I should have kept it for my patient, long suffering SIL. It says, "If a man says he will do something, he will. No need to remind him every 6 months." I wish I was there when he opens it. In August I am off to stay with them for a week to celebrate their golden wedding. I can't wait, they are both the loveliest people in my world.
I was hanging out washing at 6.00am this morning. Millie will never get over the shock of seeing me up and about at that hour. It's put her right off her stroke so she has gone back to bed. I'm certainly not planning anything today apart from a bit of tidying up and a lot of sitting in a shady spot with a book.
Sorry all those of you who are still working. Your turn will come.
THOUGHT FOR TODAY

Hugs and congratulations to Csarina.
.Lamewolf I hope you got through yesterday ok.
We seem to have managed to spend £3000 in 3 days, ouch, it was all budgeted for apart from repairing the damage done by the hire boat, but it's still a big hit.
CHS is on lates, so we will be leaving the boat about 12ish, at 5 I'm collecting one of my sons-in-law from the garage and taking him home, apart from that it's houswork and surviving the heat.Chin up, Titus out.0 -
Monnagran I love your thought for today
Lame wolf hoping yesterday went ok for you x
Another beautiful morning here, how lucky we are. Up very early to walk the dogs before it gets too hot for them - and for me. Having to do two separate walks every day with them now as oldest dog has been diagnosed with a heart murmur and has to take it easy. Waiting for a date on a scan to see what treatment he might be able to have.
Too hot to cook so we are working our way through odds and ends from fridge, freezer and cupboards as and when we feel like eating. Hope to get to the end of the month without spending much now0 -

Zumba gold is designed to be gentler. But I can say nothing about whether or not it suits the other conditions! :rotfl:Softstuff- Officially better than 0070 -
Good morning Fencers . I've just checked and I haven't posted here since 10th June
I haven't caught up and may never manage to but it's good to see you all still keeping on .
Wolfy love I hope you got through yesterday and today will be better X
Csarina Wishing your dgd a good recovery . I have found in many cases medically the too young thing is not always so . Dd has had that said so many times times over the years and proved wrong it just floats past us now .
Lovely news on a new family member to come .
Ivyleaf I sat on the floor like that all my life , it used to really annoy my mum . I don't do it so often now because it's harder getting to my feet these days plus a very comfy armchair is one of lifes joys nowadays .
Hester even when most things are saved for that's a real ouch . So sorry to hear about the boat I haven't caught up .
Monna if ever anyone needed a suitable thought for the day today it's me . I don't know if you read minds but thank you x
It's neverending hot and sunny here again but we have a lovely breeze coming in off the sea . If anyone remembers my post a while back on the possibility of another summer of 76 I have noticed people in real life are beginning to look at me in strange ways ! The sun lovers are happy but those like myself are praying for some cooler days too .
Twice in the past few days dd and I have sat on a bench in town following appointments eating a kelly's version of the 99 and looking like tourists .
That reminds me NM one of the benches we sat on yesterday had three people visiting from Bolton .
I am wrestling with a dilemma at the moment which is a bit " first world problems " I'm going to get a cold drink and have a wander in the garden where everything is flowering very early and going over too soon and try and clear my head .
Positive thoughts to Nargle and her husband , burtha ( I hope you pace yourself when you're out running in the heat and also beginning to see light at the end of the tunnel )
Karcher If you're reading I hope things are feeling better than they did . Like everyone else I miss you and hope to see you back even if you just wave in our direction . Take care love X
Wishing everyone the best day it can be . I'll try to catch up later on things .
Take care

Softstuff, you're a bloomin' marvel, you are. I know where my next spare 25 quid will be going.
Now, if you'd like to just pop over and push my feet into the right places we're home and dry.
What are you doing hanging round here at this time? Shouldn't you be in bed?I believe that friends are quiet angels
