FPK (((HUGS))) and all my hopes for best outcome for your Dad.
I need to go and sort out the laptop which appears to be either overheating or taken over by some random thing . Loki Wolfy ?
Very likely. Or it could be that Ratatosk (the squirrel who runs up and down Yggdrasil the World Tree) has been chewing the wires. :D
Lame Wolf if you could spare a morsel of your carrot and orange cake it could be very restorative after the last couple of days.
Of course, m'dear! I have two more batches of prepped carrot'n'orange in the freezer, so I can easily rustle up another cake if we need it. :o
This is why this dell has had replacement fans , batteries and chargers over the years . The techie has replaced keyboards and fans and I've done replacement batteries and chargers . I'm keeping it and windows 7 going as long as possible .
I'll never find the same quality again now .
I don't blame you; I finally had to replace my 11-year-old netbook, and I really don't rate Windows 10 at all. As for Cortana.... don't get me started.
If your dog thinks you're the best, don't seek a second opinion.;)

Softstuff I'd like mine painted, wood is nice but my cupboards haven't been sanded properly so the surfaces are very rough. Nurse Maggie, I tried that but the plastic won't stick to such a rough surface.
    VJsmum thanks, I'll try that.
    Hugs FPK
We've been for a walk, I protected CHS from the bullocks, lol.
Roast chicken for dinner as CHS wanted burgers yesterday as he was watching the GP.
    Chin up, Titus out.

Lame Wolf, I hate Windows 10 with a passion too. Cannot find anything, cannot be bothered to look as well as have no clue where to place anything. Irritating.
What is your recipe for your carrot and orange cake please?!

Cranky, you most certainly are the Mother of the Year. Go and eat some cake, you deserve it.
I was mother of the decade when all the youths in the area came and built a BMX quarter-pipe in my back garden. The run up started at the front gate, went down the drive, round the corner of the house, narrowly missed the corner of the flower bed (occasionaly,) across the lawn, up the quarter-pipe and with a bit of luck turned in the air and came back down again. Those who didn't quite manage the turn in the air landed in the potato patch.
    I've never been so popular.

nursemaggie, I had no problem with back zips, a piece of thin tape threaded through the puller-upper and pulled up from the front was quite satisfactory. Buttons are another matter. It's one of the disadvantages of living alone.
I think you are talking more to your DS now than you did when you were living together. You both seem very happy.

FairyP, I hope you and your family are coping. It's just not a good time for you all, is it? If it helps you are in all our thoughts.

Mar, you just curl up until you feel better. If you want to come here for a good moan, we're listening.

May I join the Windows 10 haters. I've almost stopped using my computer, what I can't do on my tablet doesn't get done. Surely the message must have got through to someone by now that Windows 10 is unworkable for an awful lot of people.
Possibly those who are techie savvy are fine with it, but the rest of us really struggle.
If I ruled the world it would be illegal to mend things that aren't broken.

Gosh, how my sons would shout at me if they read that. "Standing in the way of progress", would be the mildest thing they would accuse me of.

Everyone come up to the caravan. We English are holidaying when the Scottish children aren't on half term. The site is so quiet. Now, of course, we do have the fuddle children but I can assure you with the fuddle mother intolerant to hilarity they are very well behaved! Come, the sun is out and the BBQ is on!

Thank you. I can't have cake as it's weigh day tomorrow. I did make brownies this afternoon and Twink's hob nobs as well though. I wish I'd seen that BMX run, I really do. I love anything that's a bit "Heath-Robinson".

I managed to line dry a wash load before the horde descended and I've also weeded the garden, planted out the pea plants, watered the garden with the contents of the paddling pool and scrubbed the patio with some Jeyes in a bucket of water. The lovely thing about the teenagers is there's a MacDonalds about a 10 minute walk from our house, so come 5pm or thereabouts, they all go away :T The HT doesn't like Maccies and usually he's had enough of them all by then anyway so he's happy to stay home and have his dinner and some peace and quiet (not as happy as I am ha ha!). I do give them snacks (Asda imitation oreos and crisps) and drinks but it doesn't matter what else they eat they still know when it's dinner time.

I don't mind windows 10 but Cortana was well and truly switched off after the first 30 minutes :rotfl:

FPK I've been thinking of you today.

Wish I had caught up with the thread earlier today, I've just put moss killer on the grass! Apparently I haven't to walk on it for a few days - good job all the washing was done today then.

Really looking forward to black patches where I've been a bit heavy handed but then if it wasn't for moss the so called 'lawn' wouldn't even be green!

I thought the same Camelot but it's not as bad as I expected. Please note cat number one who hardly ever goes out posing at the edge.....

Edited to show you how the other half were living earlier. Obviously I can't post photos of other people's children so this is while they were all inside hunting down snacks...
