Hi I finally got back just before ten. Been catching up, you have all been busy bees. I could have done with you all to talk to while I was waiting for my appointment. It was supposed to be at 1.30pm but I did not even see the doctor but my nurse at nearly six o'clock.



Lyn how lovely to have someone with the same enthusiasm for your garden as you have. It must be so hard to leave a garden you have had for so long. This should make it a bit easier.



I am so tired I can't be bothered to eat dinner I have had a piece of fruit cake, danish pastry and a dish of pieces of melon.



I shall have to go to bed soon.

I've been reading this thread daily for what seems like yonks but very rarely post. I feel that I know all of you and have shared your ups and downs (even yours, A Hard Up Hester!!!). Pretty please, can I be included in the secret society post MSE?

I'd be happy for my friends to be able to contact me but I'd not be happy for those very few who pop in once in a blue moon to pour spite and vitriol on my post and stir up dissent to have my details. Friends are fine but people who can remain unknown having the capacity to continue 'trolling' after I come off line via my phone or through the post or even turn up on my doorstep would be very uncomfortable indeed so we'd need to be very careful who had access to the personal information wouldn't we?

I would hate to lose touch, it amazes me how we can be so concerned about the welfare of others, most of whom we have never met in RL. If someone 'disappears' for a few days it is very much noticed x

Between ML selling off the forum, then threads coming and going, it does make you wonder eh?
I must be the only person on the panet who doesn't know where Hester's blog is, I will look into that and register there. I think FB is a handy backup although I haven't got many MSErs as friends on there. But I don't use my real name or put my location or any personal stuff on it.
Hester I think you've won the lottery and are going to sail the boat to Cannes and buy a wee villa there. I'll come and do yer ironing - just ask!

Lyn, I know what you've said and do so agree with you. When I have encountered trolls I must say my attitude has been, "Who? Really? Ah, poor thing, what a sad person." I will search through my book of sayings and see if I can't find an appropriate thought.

Yesterday was a bit of a wash out. I woke up feeling exhausted and it didn't leave me all day. Today the sun is shining, I slept well and feel raring to go again.
The first place my raring must take me is to my bank. My debit card is about to expire and I haven't received my new one which has quite possibly been sent to my old address. I must take out enough cash to keep me going until this is sorted. Such is the nightmare of being reliant on cards and the like. However, with the nearest bank being a 2 hour round bus trip away there is little choice.

Nursemaggie, there has to be a better system than this. For a doctor/nurse to be nearly five hours late for an appointment is just not on. Imagine what would be said if a patient turned up over 4 hours late. And then for a vulnerable lady to have a long and tortuous journey home is just not on. At least I hope you enjoyed the fruit cake.

Well better get on.

MONNA you're so much nicer than me because when I encounter trolls I think 'who are you? you don't ever post on this thread so you don't know how we function , you haven't contributed anything to the discussion, you've just come out of the blue with a rude and aggressive verbal attack because you can remain unchastised and unknown' I don't think 'what a sad person you must be to do this' I think' How very rude you are and how much I'd like to respond in kind but I have manners and restraint so I will try to make you stop doing it by any civilised means I can think of so you don't hurt anyone else like this ever again!'.
