Great minds Ivyleaf. I'd go for that suggestion of back up too. Spreading the word is my concern too. I guess if we're all open to PMing the info and mention the other place every time OS access is problematic after a few boughts we might scoop up all our friends who weren't around to know.

I don't mind sharing my name and photo with you all, even the girls after all this time... and we know I share personal info but as Lyn and monna will testify I struggle speaking on the phone. I don't know what it is but it sends my anxieties haywire. I can do it, I'm more comfortable now than I used to be, and if it was the only way to keep in touch I'd push through it but if I had a choice I would avoid the video route.

My mother's birthday today, she's 102 years old.
Not sure what has happened to the 'old' mother but I love the change, hope it lasts. Our visit is a pleasure. She's smiling, talking, thanking us for visiting. Care home have asked us to stay and have birthday cake later this afternoon.

I'm happy for anyone here to have my email address though; if we do go the route of pm-ing, you'll have to put an alert here as I have pm function turned off after someone sent me a really nasty diatribe via pm when I was very low, and nearly sent me completely over the edge. I found I was getting really anxious whenever I got an alert that there was a pm for me, in case it was another similar diatribe, so I turned pm off.

I'm not on Faceache and never likely to join, but I have used Pro-boards before - a fellow Lupie had a board there, but then she got fed up of having to administer it and decamped to Faceache.:(

I have brainfog today (bad night after a very stressful experience yesterday) so I can't get straight in my head what is happening with who; I feel so inadequate having to admit that, but there it is.

But - :T for people with new and enjoyable jobs, :T for those about to move home, and (((HUGS))) for those with more health issues going on or noisy/dirty/unpleasant/unreasonable neighbours.

Monna if it's any consolation, when I was 17, a colleague thought I was 30!! :eek: Slightly late Hoppy Birdday and all that.

We've just had our lady round whose offer we have accepted and she is lovely, she's so happy with my garden and is going to keep the blackberries!!!!! I so much wanted to leave it in the hands of someone who will use it and she's so excited about the polytunnel and the little barn almost more so than about the house but I can SO relate to that! She's going to bring both sons round to see it some time when things have firmed up a little more but we've done all the rooms and know what she wants left and what she'd like to go so all things are much easier when you talk together aren't they?

Happiness all round Lyn. great news and it will make leaving behind all the better to cope with. It sounds like she has growing very firmly in her plans.

Just out of interest what did she think of the food storage room? I wonder she has a prepping radar and keen to know if it it sent her into overdrive. :rotfl:

She wants all the shelving left woohoo! and is going to use it as a storeroom like we do but I don't know what she will be storing there. she says it's a bonus having the 4th bedroom and she'd intended to look for a house with 3 so a store room it is!

I'm another one who hates using the phone. I think it must be to do with being unable to see the other person's facial expression and body language. I don't even like ringing my children, though I'm ok if they ring me, or if I know that the one I'm ringing isn't going to be busy doing something else at the time I ring.

LW if you can manage to pm me, I will reply with my email address (and will try to remember to tell you on here that I've done that.) x

I've met a few of us, a few of us have my phone number and a few have my address too. I don't do facebook in fact can't get to grips with 'social media' in any form but I'm always up for a PM and if these forums go I'm always up for a letter or a chat on the phone too just as long as I keep you all in my life, whatever it takes xxx.

Don't know when they did it BUT we've got a 'SOLD' notice in the front garden now!!!
