Happy Anniversary MMF & have a lovely evening munching the chicken tikka!
Up early this morning - a horspittle appointment for a bone scan (side effect of hormone suppressant meds) was in and out in about 10 mins!!! but traffic was horrendous as there had been a pile up locally and a road closure - took me over half an hour to do a journey thats usually 10 mins at most. So many cars queueing for work too. Do hope those in the pile up arn't hurt too badly though. I'm so lucky that a large hospital is quite close and I dont have the awful journeys that NM and others have - must be awful especially if you are not very mobile or feeling poorly.
Right - need to plan what to have for tea tonight, dust, hoover and wash the b**** windows that I STILL havn't done - I'm such a sloven!!Small victories - sometimes they are all you can hope for but sometimes they are all you need - be kinder than necessary, for everyone you meet is fighting some kind of battle0 -

Much of what I know about diet and inflammation comes from the knowledge of nargle so I am not qualified to help but I just wanted to say I'm thinking of your OH and I'm thinking of you and saddened that worry and fight have arrived at your doorstep nargle.
Lyn you have good news.I'm thrilled. I hope now you're a few days on that the adrenaline has subsided and contentment with the way life is now unfolding is in the forefront. Of course saying 'contentment' massively underplays what should be excitement but we're of similar outlook and I think excitement is fleeting, along with panic etc, contentment is what I think underpins stability and stability underpins happiness.
Now that doesn't mean to say you should stop that hop, skip and a jump as you get the coffee on though!0 -
Please can I divert everyone to join me in rejoicing that my lovely DH has started & appears to be enjoying his new job (and has been away from Sunday til Friday this week, after being under my feet for almost 2 years of working at his home desk!
). We have always had time apart in our lives together due to living 50 miles apart for over 3 years, and his job taking him from Washington DC to Washington Tyne & Wear, Edgbaston to Eritrea via Osaka, Ontario and Oldham...he's been through a period of disruption for a long while resulting in him being homebased rather than doing site visits, but is now almost back to the happy, relaxed & unstressed husband that I know & love
