  • Lamewolf we are each and every one of us a very necessary part of the balance of the cosmos, we are as Monna says unique each in our own way but I'm certain we all fulfil a destiny as the being that we are, sometimes being human is an uncomfortable experience and we look at others and see only the joy and not the difficulties that all of us have. You are important, without you it would be a different world so we're all very glad you are you, doing the job of being you as well as you are able. You are part of this OS world, it's a good world this one with good people so thank you just for being, we need you xxx.

Hugs to you FPK. It's easy to say don't worry but of course you will, as we all would. I hope you find something to distract yourself. Your lemon tree sounds lovely.

As for needles - I couldn't even take my own children for their vaccinations!

Looking forward to hearing that everything has gone well maryb.

I'm quite happy to be on that balloon eating ginger nuts, haven't had one of those for ages, especially since I've been on this bloomin diet. Went to fat club this evening and decided to treat myself to a bowl of cereal when I got back only to find that the milk was off!

    Off for an apple ............

Lamewolf your courage in the face of all of the things you deal with inspires me every time you write about it. I know it is hard for you, but I do so wish you saw how brave you really are and could give yourself some credit.xx

Camelot, the universe conspiring to keep you on track?

Yes, the lemon tree is lovely :)

I shall practice some of the disconnecting myself from my body techniques over the next few days.

Hugs to all who need them and Maryb, I hope things are going as well as can be expected.x
  • My 'go to' place when the world gets too heavy is a beautiful white sand beach that DD1 and I sat on when we visited mainland Orkney and sang to the seals who actually sang back to us. It is one of the most magical and wonderful things that we've ever experienced. The seals were on the rocks just beyond the beach and we sang Christmas Carols and they listened and a couple of them answered with a seal song of their own. If I need to put the world down for a while and just 'be' it's where I go and I always come back refreshed and stronger. The other wonderful Orkney memory is the sheep who live beyond the boundary wall on North Ronaldsay and eat seaweed, you can hear them 'click, clack, clattering' along the beach for quite a time before you can see them and they come in a line one behind the other and every single one of them is a dead ringer for 'Shaun the Sheep', that too is a deep pleasure.

Lyn I've seen those sheep on TV, they are indeed lovely :)

Lame Wolf As others have said, you are indeed precious, unique and very special. I am really glad the internet gave me the chance to "meet" you. :)

I have finished decluttering my clothes and shoes, and there are 2 big bags to go to the hospice shop :j

My mind has been full of maryb today, so, it appears, have a lot of people's on here. I think that it is beyond wonderful that a disparate group of people who wouldn't recognise each other if we passed in the street, can grow so close that when one is worried or suffering all the rest suffer with them. I often curse the internet but in this case it is the most amazing invention ever.

LW, I loathe and detest the cliche, "I feel your pain" but in your case I really do. So much so that I would cheerfully batter with a blunt instrument whoever it was that has made you feel that way about yourself.
I know that we don't share the same faith, but I do know that whoever or whatever caused this universe to be, that threw billions of stars across the sky, that formed mighty oceans and towering mountains, thought that it was important that there should also be one of you.
Please believe that you are very precious and unique. There isn't one person in the cosmos that can fill your place because no one else can be you.
Now go and buy a whole carton of Polos and scoff them all yourself, repeating as you do, (horrid slogan alert) "Because I'm worth it. Because you are, you really really are.

I have to shout here - ^^^ WHAT MONNA SAYS !!

Wishing all Fencer friends less stress and anxiety, more self-loving, and improved health all round. You are all great xxx

ETA - I love Orkney, it is a special place indeed.
I have changed my work-life balance to a life-work balance.

I'm back from the hospital and about to go to bed to get some of the sleep I haven't had much of this week but I had to come on and thank all of you lovely people.

It went well, thank God. He was pretty out of it when I saw him but he was able to squeeze my hand. Tomorrow they will get him up and sit him in a chair for three hours and encourage him to eat a few bites. To tell the truth he had a better colour than I was expecting but it was still a stomach blow to see him with fives lines going in and almost as many coming out

Thank God for the NHS. So professional hard working and highly skilled, all of them. And it's so wrong that most of the nurses will not be able to afford to buy a home anywhere near Kings, while foreign and home grown buy to let investors make profits while the sun shines
It doesn't matter if you are a glass half full or half empty sort of person. Keep it topped up! Cheers!
