Sending get well vibes for your OH, maryb. What a shock.

Mrs LW husbands can be persuaded, especially if you take advantage of the being under the weather :D.

    Morning all,

Having read back it looks like I missed MaryB's post yesterday. I'll be thinking of you and your husband. I imagine he'll feel miles better than he has for a long time after he fully recovers.

Camelot, I'm sure there is someone here partial to a Gingernut--maybe Mar? We'll send some up to your balloon to help with any queasiness.

Well, I'm the proud owner of a lemon tree. It came with three lemons and lots of buds, but one lemon came off during the unboxing phase. It has a temporary home for the moment but will get a dish with either gravel or pot feet this weekend in a bright window.

I've also talked OH into going for a walk to find a bluebell wood this weekend. I now need to remember where I saw details of said walk and hastily get them put in a prominent place before he changes his mind.

Hugs to all who need them.x

So, maryb, today's the day then. Lots of prayers being sent up for your DH and you.

FairyP, walking through bluebell woods is magical. It used to be when I felt that the winter was truly over and bright skies would soon be o'er us, to coin a phrase.

Just done my BP reading and once again its very low. It seems to climb as the day goes on.
Today's the day I was expecting yesterday and I feel that I've lived it once already. But the sun is shining, the wind has dropped and I will enjoy my walk up to the village. Don't think I will do the coastal walk though, it gets very wet and muddy after rain.

Hope everyone enjoys the better weather.

    THOUGHT FOR TODAY

Don't worry if someone doesn't like you. Most people are struggling to like themselves.
I believe that friends are quiet angels
Who lift us to our feet when our wings
Have trouble remembering how to fly.

MaryB - thinking of you and your DH - hugs X

FPK - it's me that can't do without her ginger biccys! - I'm happy to share though :)
Don't know where you are but there are a couple of beautiful bluebell woods near me - one is particularly stunning, so many it looks like a blue haze. Hope you find out where yours is.

Monna - wrap up on your walk as that wind is still 'fresh'.

Haven't seen Fuds Burtha or Karcher lately - thinking of them all and hoping they're OK.
Small victories - sometimes they are all you can hope for but sometimes they are all you need - be kinder than necessary, for everyone you meet is fighting some kind of battle
  • My thoughts and prayers are for Mary and her Hubs today, it will be a VERY long day for them and we'll all be standing with them, blessings and hugs xxx.

No cat last night and He Who Knows is feeling much improved health wise today so he's off walking the Cookie dog in the sunshine which can only be a positive for both of them. I'm feeling achey and sore this morning so I think it's just a virus and I also have a slightly sore throat but it passed very quickly for him so I'll hope for improvement tomorrow. I'm off in the morning to DD1 for a concert on Saturday which is to be a celebration of the life and works of Hubert Parry the man who composed Jerusalem which is so well known but also many other wonderful pieces including 'I was Glad' which is sublime so I'm looking for ward to it immensely. Then next Thursday is the biggest treat of all as the Choral Society is invited to The Festival Hall to perform some of the pieces from Saturdays concert and DD has got me a ticket and a place on the Choral Society coach which is fabulous. I love that she gets the joy from the singing and I get the joy from the concerts, just amazing. Off to the library later to take some books back and general sorting out at home so it's tidy for any viewings (Oh Ha Ha! I wish) that may happen while I'm away.

Didn't you say recently that you're on blood pressure tablets? Perhaps it's time to see the GP in case you need a lower dose? x

MaryB, sending best wishes for today, he sure has had speedy and excellent care.

Monna, re the blood pressure, maybe you're not adjusting yet to life on the chaise longue? It does take a bit of relaxing into :p

Feeling quite anxious here. The surgery has just called asking me to come in for more tests. Not only am I anxious about doing the tests, but this seems to suggest something was picked up that might have a more sinister cause.

OH will have to come with me, so I've had to schedule it for next week. I'm not sure how much work I'm going to get done in the mean time :(
