Either that or a bucket of water LynWe have an excellent library FPK, don't worry about books, you'll have plenty. If you all set sail now, you could be here by next Australian summer. Has anyone sorted out the elephant yet?
Erm... I'll be arriving in 3 weeks... although I'll be rather a long way south of you on this trip. Might be over your way in October though  I could probably fit a few others in my luggage if they don't want to travel ark and elephant...0 -
Oh Maryb what a shock. I will be thinking of him, hope everything goes OK.0

Oh Maryb, what a shock for you both!!
As you say, thank goodness it was discovered before your trip. Obvs it is a major op but outcomes are amazing. I shall have you both in my thoughts tomorrow.
Have to dash, got to ring mum, make tea, invoice a client (quite a large invoice relating to last month so I want to email it asap), may pop back in later re the cruise to visit Softstuff. I love the idea of a lottery win facilitating the fencers mega party cruise meet-up:T :j
I have changed my work-life balance to a life-work balance.0 -
MrsL, personally I'd bring the cat in and chuck the husband out.
maryb wow what a shock that was eh?!0 -
Oh maryb, what a shock! So glad it was caught in time. Sending best wishes to you both xx0

Oh but I luvs him MAR, and he's feeling under the weather at the moment so I couldn't chuck him out into the rain no matter how much I'd like a cat. I think it's likely the poor thing was shut out and last night was horribly wet and windy here so he was just looking for somewhere warm and dry.0

I'll have it MrsLW.
Cats are like expensive handbags, one cannot have enough, as long as one can afford to look after them :rotfl:Note to self - STOP SPENDING MONEY !!
£300/£1300 -
I hope he has a nice home already and was just a cold and soggy kitty yesterday but we'll see if he's around tonight. I haven't seen him in gardens locally in daylight hours or crossing the road to get to the allotments so either he's a transitory stray, he has a home and was just shut out or he's decided he wants to live with us. I would love a cat.....watch this space!0

Congrats to your SIL Ivyleaf, I'm sure he will love his new job.
Oh dear Maryb, hope your DH makes a speedy recovery.
I'll give up my job and join you on your cruise if that's ok. Boats make me sick but I'll give it a go!0 -
maryb hoping all goes well for your poor DH - as you say, could've happened while you were at sea.THOUGHT FOR TODAY
Be decisive. Right or wrong, make a decision.
The road of life is paved with flat squirrels who couldn't make a decision.
MrsLW any further feline visitors? I can always come and tell it to push off home; I do know a few phrases in Feline (though I'm most fluent in Canine of course). If your dog thinks you're the best, don't seek a second opinion.;)0
