Your thought for today made me laugh monna! Any news on the house front?
A stressful time for you nanny but they will be finished soon and you'll have a beautiful house.

How's your weather mar? We've had a couple of sunny spells here but nothing special. I pegged the washing out at 5.30 this morning before I went for a swim, it was dry when I got home this evening and has been put away, first time this year I haven't had to finish it off inside.

Just been to fat club and have somehow managed to shed another 1.5lb. It's tough at times but I do feel better. The only down side is I need new work trousers!

Funny you should mention baking, Softstuff. I've made a batch of biscuits today, Honey Bakes, almost the same as Twinks but I've been making these for over 50 years. My boys were brought up on them. They've no honey in them but that was what the recipe called them, so be it. I must have had a hair shirt moment because I am having another go at the 5:2 diet and today is my fast day. The smell of home-made biscuits when you are not allowed to eat one is...........character building.
In fact if I get through the rest of today without caving in my character will be as tall as Nelsons Coloumn.

I did have a lovely potter in the garden this morning. Millie and I played tug-o'war with her toy monkey, then we played Hunt The Kong. She has buried it somewhere and as I paid an indecent amount of money for it I would like it found. Little battle with Tablet just there. Amount was turned into am out of money. Yes I am, but I don't know how Tablet found out, and in any case it's none of his business.
Anyway, I didn't find the Kong, but did discover 2 Japanese soldiers hiding in the undergrowth. Told them that the war was over and sent them on their way.

The rest of the morning was spent doing the coffee drinking thing.

Am now off to sew my lips together and try to forget the tin full of Honey Bakes.


ETA. House business very quiet Camelot. Please don't tell me about your loss at fat club, the neighbours get upset when they hear me wailing.

So we're back where we belong . Think I need to lie down in a darkened room for a while ! However I'll eat my lunch instead .
