Morning Shanks and silver-oldie. Yes, I got back to sleep at about 4.30 ish. Come 5.30 I am in a lovely deep sleep when I find myself reluctantly dragged back up to the surface by Millie greeting the day with a great deal of noisy excitement.
Really? I'd only been asleep for about an hour. Deciding that it would be quicker and easier to join in, I tottered back downstairs, gave her breakfast and let her out and am now back in bed and determined to stay here. Possibly I'll get another couple of hours sleep.
THOUGHT FOR TODAY
your day will go the way the corners of your mouth turn.

I'm up! In shock but up. Deep frozen white world outside, and the RV already out playing with his snow shovel. (Supposedly clearing a path to the ash pail). He says there's a foot-deep drift right across the back garden, so he'll proby be digging happily out there for ages. I'm staggering through for more tea.0

Puckered?
Some would say it's good you have a reason to bounce out of bed in the morning.... maybe not that early, but still
Todays weigh in and 4.9kg down in total. I'm doing my happy dance.
Edited to add: Good luck Kittie!Softstuff- Officially better than 0070 -
Oh Softstuff, that's really great news that GP etc are stepping up the game and that the specific issue of a uti has acted as a warning. You can breathe again now!
ETA, and great news about the weight loss. Well done!
Mar I saw a pic of Peebles in the snow last evening......lots of snow. Shall I send a sledge full of jelly babies?
Karcher, it's nice to have you back. How are things? I so hope you are less stressed with work x
Have had cuppa, going for a lie down. Didn't want to be up THIS early! Long day at work today. 3.5 hours for one client, 30 min break (supposedly for lunch but inevitably will have to do some food shopping) then 2 hours with a disabled client so I shall be pushing a wheelchair up and down the high street, and up and down ramps to get her into various small (eek!) local shops.
We cause chaos because almost all the shops she wants to visit are so small we block the aisles :rotfl: Plus I am not the most competant 'driver' so my manoeuvres are likely to wipeout the ridiculously cluttered shop displays that utilise too much floor space rather than just sticking to using the shelves :rotfl: :rotfl:
I have thought about getting her a companion animal so we could REALLY have some fun! Wonder what we could have? Perhaps Millie could help Monna?
Good luck Kittie!!I have changed my work-life balance to a life-work balance.0 -
Those paintings are fab MMF, I thought the cat was a photo at first.
Glad your DM is getting the help she needs Softstuff, perhaps she will realise that she needs a little assistance now. You must feel like a weight has been lifted from your shoulders. Well done to the surgery.
I've stripped the bed this morning as the forecast was for a lovely sunny, breezy day and it's raining.0 -
Great news SS, and Ivyleaf glad your concerns are being taken seriously.u
New front brakes on the car, £50 so not too expensive.
Also great excitement here, I went t in to town to buy some fabric and saw someone I used to work with. She came over for a chat, so I actually spoke to a real live person for about 5 minutes.
It's 11 days since I last spoke to someone not that I'm counting, lol.Chin up, Titus out.0 -
Poor CHS - does he not count?0
