    Hi all,
Not been around much , as to be honest there just isn't enough hours in the day , I'm finding it hard going keeping up with physical work , so it's head down and plough on ....knew it was going to be hard once it got colder , but !!!! ... hate parts of my life .... but otherwise I'm ok ... Sounds odd , just Want the next 6 mth over .... because even if I'm still in the house then at least it will be warmer ....but fingers crossed it's sold , and I'm somewhere I can just walk in and put the heating on .... simple stuff .
3mw not really around , maybe once a week , couple of mins .... he's still saying he wants to finish the work in the house before it goes on the market , told him it was going on this week , as I can't keep,it going .... His response was for me to sort it .... suprise suprise , something else for me to do ....he can't as he's away again this weekend .... he's a joke .... but no news there really .
So I'm sitting with a few jumpers on now as kids in bed , fire almost out and I'm full of cold ...
Public face saying I'm ok , everything fine and 80 per cent of me is ....
Running is still keeping me sain , on day 38 of running everyday , tonight was just a mile ... Yesterday I hit the 100 mile point ....
Kids ok , teenage boy hormones kicking in , so a bit up and down .... but normal stuff .
hugs to anyone that wants one ,could do with one myself

I'm feeling a little better tonight. I can't take paracetamol monna they multiply the effects of my cancer medication, I can't take ibuprofen because it irritates the stomach and my cancer is in my stomach though not the lining. I have codeine for my arthritis so it has chosen now to stop working and my medication for my trigeminal neuralgia has also decided to stop working a couple of months ago so we are in the process of looking for another one that works, my GP and I, She wanted to put me back on the one I took for over 20 years. I told her it would not mix with my cancer medication but mims said different,

She consulted my oncologist and he agreed with me. So we are experimenting. This was bad timing. We tried to change it before and the one we tried made me very confused. I can normally memorise my shopping list very well but half way round Ald! id did not know what I wanted of where I was. I don't want that one again.

    It's all bad timing.

I think I may have seen the house for us. It is a pre-war 3 bed semi with a brick garage so secure for DS's bike when he gets it. It is just off a road called Plodder Lane which goes directly to DS's work about 1 and 1/2 miles. For me there is, round the corner and past two streets so not far is a parade of shops with, Drs, chemist, greengrocers, chippy, a couple of independent grocers, a Nissa Local, quite a big co-op, Post Office and a chinese take away which is also a chippy. All I think I would need is a TSB as we are both thinking of moving our accounts to them but not until we have a house. Everyone keep your fingers crossed especially polly as she seems to be lucky for me.

    Hope everyone else is OK.

I hope you get to visit Islandmaid monna.

Time I went to bed did not get much sleep last night.

Well here's a hug from me burtha I think we both need it.

I was just about to head for bed NM but spotted your post . I'm not so sure my property finding skills have helped Monna much but I am sending the positive vibes that that house will be yours . Hope you feel better soon , as you so rightly say MIMS isn't always right . You get to have a widespread knowledge of what works and what doesn't as you are the one with all the facts rather than Drs not always understanding the full facts and seeing the big picture .
Tinned rice pudding just warmed through is my go to when I've had teeth problems or have been unwell with little appetite . The house does seem to fit what you've been looking for .
DD and I have been ill the past two weeks and I haven't been online until tonight so have lots of catching up to do .
Sending a big hug to you and burtha and any who need one .
Will be back sometime tomorrow . Hope you sleep well tonight .
    polly x

Burtha, Karcher and nursemaggie, I think that the greatest form of courage is that when every cell in your body is screaming, "I can't do this for one more minute," your face will still smile and say, "Thank you, I'm fine."
It's the biggest lie under the sun.
The biggest hug and the deepest respect and love to all three of you.

Today will be spent in doing a deep clean in my bed/sitting room, the bathroom and the kitchen, boring boring, boring.

    THOUGHT FOR TODAY

If you can't be grateful for what you've received, try being thankful for what you've escaped.

ETA. nursemaggie, you are excused the smile.

Nursemaggie, the only thing that works for trig neuralgia is a hot water bottle stuck to the side of your head, and lying/sitting very still. It works wonders for me.
  • A brisk start this morning, my beloved decided he wanted a toasted sandwich when he got in from work at gone 10.

He insisted n making it on the stove, I told him to put a log on as it burns hotter, but no, he knew best and used all the coal in the bucket before finally adding a log.

So this morning there was no coal to get the fire going, cue me galloping along the jetty in the semi dark to get into the cratch to get coal!

And he didn't like the sandwich because it didn't stick together, that's because he didn't put any cheese in it, and breathe.

Hugs to NM, karcher. Further and anyone else in need. That should say Burtha, not further, bloody tablet.
    Chin up, Titus out.

Oh Hester your swear word was not changed to !!!!

mar I have been forbidden to do that for a day or two as it will start my gums bleeding again.

monna you have to put up with it, you can't move out of your body, much as I would like to at the moment. The secret is to ask God for the grace to bear it and he will give it to you. I did that just after DS had his shower at 2.30 am. The next thing I knew it was 11 am. That was a good sleep. I feel much better.

I am grateful the teeth are out and they won't now end up as just roots in my gums that go bad. Getting them out then would have required an anesthetic and an overnight stay in hospital and losing more teeth.

I think my whole flat needs a deep clean I have not done any cleaning for weeks. At least not in the living room and my bedroom. As for my bedroom I am at present falling over Christmas presents because I can now afford to buy more, now that DS is working.

When you said I was excused the smile I said Thank you and then remembered my older DGS has the same tooth missing at the front. He is a bit behind with losing his teeth maybe because he was very premature. He is 9. I think I may buy him some of those joke teeth that chatter to put in with his Christmas present.

karcher if you keep waking very early that is a sign of depression. Have you been to the doctor?

polly sorry you and your DD have been ill. YUK polly I cant stand rice pudding it makes me sick. To me rice belongs with Asian dishes from India to China and everything in between. We are having tandoori chicken today if I can manage to chew the chicken. I put the chicken to marinade last night.

I should have said yuk when monna mentioned milk puddings. The only one I like is is sago which I know lots don't like.
