So I start today full of good intentions. I have already cleared out and tidied the top drawer of my bedside table. Yes, I was still in bed while I did it, but it still counts, doesn't it?
The rest of the day will used up by tidying the rest of my bedroom, making apple jelly, (the last lot) and cooking a proper lunch. After that I have promised myself an afternoon knitting.
I feel much better for having a plan.
I hope everyone is having a good weekend and taking some time out for yourselves.

Well done Monna
I have the dining room, sitting room, hall and office to finish emptying in preparation for the electrician. No idea where it will all go as the bedrooms are all pretty much full now... and there isn't much going into the CS pile at the moment.0 -
Glorious sunshine here and I'm just feeling human again for the first time in a week. But I'm still not going to do anything, just sit and read/knit/surf0

We had glorious sunshine this morning so I swept and mopped the boat, when that was done we pointed it towards our home mooring and set off.
No sooner had we arrived than the clouds rolled over and the temperature dropped dramatically.
So we've battened down the hatches and topped up the fire, I will sit and crochet for an hour or so.Chin up, Titus out.0 -
Lovely day here again too but a bit chilly. We have just been to see a house. It was very nice but we could have done to push each wall out half a meter in every room. and the ceilings were a bit low. DS felt claustrophobic. Pity because it was in a very nice area, nice quiet cul de sac, only a five minute walk from a small shopping area with Asd*, !celand, her*n foods and I think there is a farm foods nearby too. Near a good bus service. DS said he would consider buying the house just for himself. It was a pretty little dolls house.0

Hester, sitting in a snug boat crocheting sounds cosy.
Mar, you too. Spend as much time reading/knitting as possible and go on feeling human, you're probably safer in that state.
I've had a good day. My bedroom is reeling from the shock of being turned upside-down and sorted out. I got everything ready to make the apple jelly and then couldn't find the covers for the jars, so measured out the juice and sugar, put the jars in the dishwasher and decided to get the covers in the morning.
I have just been into a rarely used drawer and found the covers. So.......first thing tomorrow jelly making.
As you can tell, I don't have anything helpful or interesting to say but I don't like it if this thread isn't on the first page, so am doing a bit of bumping.I believe that friends are quiet angels

Wide awake since 3 am. Hard frost over everything, we have a white car today. Sat in a baltic kitchen in a nightdress and cardi drinking t and eating digestives. That will surely set off the heartburn again..0

Absolutely mar, that's what you get for self indulgence. Sounds blissful, apart from the balticness of the kitchen.
My whole house is a bit baltic as I have virtuously refused to put the heating on yet. I do have an oil-filled heater in my room and I have succumbed to having that on or my blue, nerveless fingers wouldn't knit. I keep reading about the minimum temperature that the houses of people my age should be. I laugh scornfully. And jealously. The warmest place is my bed and that is where I spend as much time as possible.
Well, that will do for the first post of my day.
THOUGHT FOR TODAY
There's always a lot to be thankful for if you take the time to look for it.
For example, I am sitting here thinking how nice it is that wrinkles don't hurt.I believe that friends are quiet angels

I went away to do some knitting. It is a lot easier to heat a bed than a bedroom yes0

All the boats are covered in frost here but the heating comes on for an hour every morning to take the chill off, then I get up, make us both a cuppa, whilst the kettles coming to the boil I riddle the stove and top it up.
This morning I've stirred the casserole that's been on the stove overnight and got it ready for hubby to take to work for his evening meal, he doesn't finish until 10ish.
I shall now browse the web for a while until I get dressed.Chin up, Titus out.0
