You do us a disservice Fuddle. I, for one, am overcome with admiration for any cat that even eats a banana, let alone makes it last a year. I mean - how mse is that?

Your OH is nicknamed Spock? And plays with bananas???
    :rotfl:

ETA - I just bid at a local auction, online because I couldn't get there in person today, and I think I have got my much-wanted Pembroke table. Am awaiting email confirmation. A few months ago I left a cheeky commssion bid but was pipped at the post. Have tried again, another cheeky bid. ... Looks like no-one else wanted it!

Oh my, sorry for the confusion, Spock is a cat (very pointed ears) and the banana was full of catnip. The image of my DH playing with a banana made me choke on my fondant fancy! Don't worry, screen is nice and clean now. xx

Beautiful autumn day here too. Had a few errands to do, one of them was to go to a chandlery a few miles from me so picked DS1 up to come for the ride with me. On our way home two hot air balloons rose in the air quite close to us. One of them was made to look like an owl. The looked lovely flying in a clear blue sky. A little bit of serendipity ;)

silvasava How lovely! Serendipity is a wonderful thing :)

babs Good news about respite hours - hopefully that will be sorted very soon indeed. :D re Spock and the banana!

MMF oh I do hope you get the table :j

monnagran I hope you get good results from the upcoming viewings. Somehow I'd missed the fact that your house is right by the beach, though I had gathered it wasn't far away! xx

Oh Monna - I'd LOVE your house - as a child I lived by the sea and went to bed at night listening to the waves. I've never minded if they lap or crash! How I wish for such luxury again!

Yay! I've had the email to confirm that my bid bought the table. Total cost, inc fees, £76 :D
It's criminal really, isn't it - something of such quality being cheaper than mass-produced pine stuff?

Now I have to work out what to do with our mass-produced one :rotfl:
