MrsL, life is a river. If you swim against the current then you're wasting your time ... If you don't like where it's taking you then tread water for a bit :)
  • The sun is shining on my silver birch tree on the front lawn making the trunk gleam and turning the yellow leaves into molten gold, it's just at the right point of the day to make 'liquid sunshine' and it's BEAUTIFUL!

Don’t we get some cracking sunsets at this time of year? Nature at its most beautiful.

I went to Tatton Park, a National Trust property, yesterday (I think some fellow fencers know it), the sun shone and the leaves were gorgeous. The Japanese garden was very picturesque. Autumn is so pretty, isn't it?

  • Very misty here this morning and the fire was nearly out when I got up, I've got it going again now. We are probably going away for a few days, we need to buy another's cylinder as one of ours is empty.
    Chin up, Titus out.

Floss, did you know they do a full breakfast between 10am and 11.45, too?
DH's birthday is in April and this year we went for breakie, then a lovely walk round the gardens and the farm (I got to stroke one of the reindeer :) )

MMF007, sadly I live a bit further away than I used to so am doubtful to get there in time for brekkie...Tatton was a regular haunt with my boys when they were small / young teens, we all had hours of fun on the wooden playground :o:p

Another beautiful day here too. I do love these still, warm Autumn days. It has always been my favourite season. I love preparing for the cosiness of winter. Since I have simplified my Christmas, concentrating on feeling, family, old fashioned tradition and the real meaning of the festival, I even enjoy getting ready for that. Its such a huge relief to be free of the razzamataz.

I seem to be having a little flurry of viewings, mostly at the end of next week when doubtless it will be cold, wet and windy and beachside houses look at their most unappealing. On the other hand, it was January and the weather was horrid when I fell in love with the house. Who knows?

Hi all, just dropping in to say I hope everyone is as well as can be hoped for. Things are going well here, (fingers and everything else crossed) and I've heard that I (should) be getting my respite hours soon. I'm starting to think about the C word and have brought Spock a banana as he had one last year and is still playing with it, bless him. Keep well and warm xx

(BTW just read that back and probably should really say that Spock is my DD's cat - sorry)
