MMF007 and fuddle, I don't know what you mean. My mind is on higher things.

nursemaggie, I cringe for you. Is it soup and milk puddings for a couple of days?

After a couple of days of brilliant sunshine we seem to be back to windy greyness today. I want to get the outside of the windows cleaned before Friday, the salt in the air plays havoc with them, but I think I will wait until later because rain is forecast. Nothing more aggravating than achieving crystal clear, shiny windows only to find that the rain has started before you've put the bucket away.
It's on a par with taking the gas hob to pieces. scrubbing everything back to gleaming perfection, only to find a son, ten minutes later, cooking himself a large and spluttery fry-up.
Life is full of these small tragedies.

Anyway, I will do the inside of the windows today.

Oh poor nursemaggie, I'm glad that's over!

I'm going to have coffee with a friend this morning, a lovely lady I used to work with. She also made my DD1's wedding dress and bridesmaid's dresses :)

And on Thursday I'm having coffee segueing into lunch, with Churchmouse, who some of you will remember. She still posts on here sometimes.

nm glad your dental ordeal is over.

I haven't seen Burtha post for a while, I hope all is well x

Ivy enjoy your coffee..have a large latte for me :D

Monna I have always failed when it comes to streak free windows despite years of trying. I love it when my windows are clean but if there is even a hint of rain about, they don't get done!

Well I had an awful night of little sleep so I'm trying to recuperate a bit now. I spent much of the night surfing the net, whilst my eyes wanted to close, but when I did close them no sleep was forthcoming.

Has anyone ever attempted to surf the net with your eyes closed?
It didn't prove to be either easy, entertaining or distracting! :p

Ivyleaf....say hello to churchmouse from me.

Stay warm everybody......my late mother reckoned that 2 of the worst sins were being cold or hungry while having money in the bank!

Yes frequently karcher. When I find myself doing that I know it is time for bed

I have a swollen face this morning. I think I am in for a few days of terrible pain as they have set off my trigeminal neuralgia. All my other teeth are really aching.

I can't eat anything hot today or really cold so lukewarm soup and yogurts left out to get to room temperature. Yuck!

Oh poor you nm. Nothing worse than toothache, unless it's earache. Keep warm and stocked up with painkillers.

Karcher, window cleaning is not my favourite chore either. Somewhere I have a great windscreen wiper thingy, but I haven't seen it for a couple of years so I either left it behind or it is languishing in a box somewhere.
In the meantime I get quite good results with the wiper I use to keep the shower sparkling. It's amazing the difference it makes to a room. However. the rain has just started. Sod's law.

When I wake up in the night doing a sudoku or cryptic crossword usually gets me yawning again. What I don't dare do is to start reading. If I do I'm quite likely to be still reading as dawn breaks. Fatal!

NM, I so hope you feel better soon. It's horrid, isn't it? Make sure you keep warm and don't go out in the wind or rain!

Sounds nasty NM, hope you feel better soon.

I cleaned the windows in my office today. Went outside with some wipes and a handful of blue roll, there wasn't much dirt on the wipes. Came in to admire my work and discovered that the dirt was actually on the inside! Gave the inside a good scrub and can now see the children outside in the playground. Sadly they can probably see me too!

Very cold here with heavy rain showers, glad I'm in with the fire lit.

Not a fan of window cleaning either, we live on an unadopted road, so dusty in summer and muddy in winter - not much point spending too much time cleaning windows ;)

Monna you could always come for a quick jog ‘up north’ to my end of the Island to keep warm - I have HM cake and I’ll even make you a cuppa :rotfl:

I am sure I can find a biscuit for Millie if she fancies a trip :T

Hubby and I were wide awake at 4 am today, no reason just woke, roll on early morning coffee and yakking - I’m out to work early Monday-Wednesday so no hardship.

NM Hope you are feeling better soon x
