Burtha maybe call out a Gasafe engineer to service the boiler and a sweep for the chimney - tell 3MW he is paying as without those the house will not sell in winter.

For now, get all kids at home to jump into your bed with you and their quilts, and read until you all fall asleep warm & snug xx

First, thank you all , you all don't know how amazing you are xxxx
Second , went out and bought cheep fan heaters for kids rooms , very short term fix ....
Third ,forgot I had a wheat bag thing , so found that
Fourth, messaged 3mw to tell him the brushes are next to fire and he needs to do it tomorrow , if he don't show the I will have a go myself , how hard can it be ??
Five , fire does the heating and hot water , so no fire no water ... no other way , I wish there was
Six , stopped crying ,still full of cold with a dripping nose so look fab .:D
Seven , spoke to agents about house on Monday , don't care at this point how much we loose as need to move
Eight, 2 small cocker spaniels make great hot water bottles ....
Nine , tomorrow is another day and I can do this
Ten , smile ... at least for the public , crying tonight in front of kids ,not good but at least it shows I'm human and can work through all this rubbish with them , and on here I can crack up if need be ,without judgement just support xxxx

Well done burtha you've turned the impossible around . 3MW doesn't understand how all these challenging situations are strengthening the steel in your spine and not allowing him to control the situation as he seems to want to do . Read monnas thought for today , in fact write it down . Too early yet but one day you'll read it and like many here myself included will be glad you escaped .

I know where I want to stick the brushes and it is not up the chimney. :mad: I hope it turns out to be a blessing in disguise as it speeds up getting you all safe and settled earlier than waste of space would have liked.

burtha, darling, I missed your post last night because I was asleep very early. I am now so hopping mad on your behalf that, like nursemaggie, I want to get up to you to give you a real hug and roll my sleeves up to pitch in and help you.

Don't you dare start sweeping chimneys. Your children are not your solely yours. Mr 3mw has equal responsibility for keeping his children warm, fed and decently housed. It would serve him right if you dropped them off at his and told him that they would be staying until he had got the heating situation sorted.
No, I know you would never do that to your children, I'm just fuming wildly.

So, as tomorrow is already today, you are going to put on your big girl's pants, plus as many other clothes as it takes to keep you warm, and start ringing chimney sweeps, bill to go to Mr Wonderful.
Then you start on the business of getting that house on the market.

I hope your solicitor is being fierce about the finances because it's not just for you, it's for his children as well.

Don't worry about weeping in font of your children, they are old enough to realise that mothers are people too.

Thank you, if I'm honest I'm sitting in tears now ..need to get the act together and sort stuff out ,definitely running on empty and that's hard work but will get there ,don't think he will ever see what he's done , how much hurt he continues to do ...but there's not a lot I can do about that .and even though I feel like giving up that not going to happen ..
So sleeves up and get on ,having this cold and feeling rubbish has definitely pushed my buttons ,worn me out but will smile a wave and move it on , only one way this is going to go and that the way I want it ....

So at 6 am I'm doing a 2 mile run , negative into to positive, still in tears ... need to kick a**** now , shower and sch run then work ....smile and wave , smile and wave xxx

Burtha - like all your friends on here I want to shove the brushes up 3MW where the sun don't shine but that's not going to happen. I truly believe in Karma. I'm wishing you the strength and determination to plough on and you know we are all at your back. I can only imagine how dark things are for you at the moment and how overwhelmed you must be but the example you are showing your family in the face of such adversity is awesome as are you my love. Huge virtual hugs are all I can offer but I do hope some of the love from this forum will help sustain you another day xxxxx
