My plan for tomorrow is to get all presents out and write down what I have for everyone then I can work out if I'm short of anything. Then sort out online food shopping. If I get sorted early in the week I will put our tree up by the end of the week. I would have had it up by now but DH doesn't like it up too soon, so a bit of a compromise.I am a Senior Forum Ambassador and I support the Forum Team on the Wales, Small Biz MoneySaving, In My Home (includes DIY) MoneySaving, and Old style MoneySaving boards. I do this too, and at some stage I gather all my good ideas together and wonder whatever was I thinking of.
I have a group of oddly assorted items with not the faintest notion of who would be the delighted/appalled recipient of each.
These are bundled into very badly wrapped heaps (my present wrapping is legendary among my friends, for all the wrong reasons) and passed on. Preferably in the dead of night.
I then receive beautiful, thoughtful, imaginatively wrapped gifts in return. And feel an abject failure.
I'm thinking of vouchers this year. Tucked into a card.I believe that friends are quiet angels

Glad the pcr (auto correct thinks it's ocd!) test was negative, burtha.
I'm done with the gift shopping, just need to wrap it all. I've done a few that needed to be given out earlier but still have immediate family gifts to do.
The tree will be done this afternoon, and everything else will have to take a back seat.
I made a list last night of all the groups of jobs to be done. Cleaning, baking, etc, so we'll see if I get any offers.....2025 Fashion on the ration

Morning burtha and everybody. Happy Monday, if that's not a contradiction in terms.
I don't know what is happening to December. It's sliding by at a frightening speed. If I don't get some cards written soon it will be too late and my friends will have ditched me.
Yesterday I had the privilege of taking a church service. It is masking up again and you have no idea how disconcerting it is to stand and survey your audience when all you can see is rows of eyes.
You have no idea whether they are smiling, tight lipped or mouthing obscenities.
Well, it's to be hoped they are not mouthing obscenities in church.
I did hear muffled laughter from time to time, so I hope they were enjoying it.
Today it is haircut day and my lovely Emma will do her best to coax my thinning locks into some sort of shape. It's a thankless task, but bless her, she is nothing if not persistent.
If you can't have a good day, just have a day.I believe that friends are quiet angels
