I had to google Boris the Spider - that must have passed me by.
I was a mod so favoured scooter lads.
When the flower power time happened - I remember my friend buying budgie bells to hang round her neck. This friend wore extremely short skirts - shall we say - she was a larger build - going upstairs on the bus after her was an experience for me - let alone lads. Said friend ended up as a sensible nursing sister.
Night off cooking for me as we ate at the SA.Decluttering Achieved - 2023 - 10,364 Decluttering - 2024 - 8,365 August - 0/45

If Boris (the PM not the Pider) hadn't messed everything up then he wouldn't need to save Christmas.

If MMMBop passed you by Florence try googling MMMBop Hanson. Listen to it for hours on repeat then imagine that day in day out for a couple of years.I wore more long skirts and dresses than short skirts. Short skirts had be a certain length according to mum so just a couple of inches above the knee-for decency. It reminds me of we in the sixth form turning the waists of our box pleated skirts over and over until they were mini skirts. We corrected them on the way up the long drive but one morning one of the most forceful nuns appeared from behind a large oak tree. A parishioner fearing for our mortal souls had reported the wild girls. Mass tongue lashing, letters sent home and six strokes each of the cane was the result. Another tongue lashing from my mum and back we went to dowdy.I wore jeans on the bike and I still wear my jeans. I always loved Neil Diamond's Forever in Blue Jeans. Nowadays mine are dark indigo or black rather than the blues I used to wear.polly who's just remembered Utd are playing.xIt is better to light a single candle than to curse the darkness.
There but for fortune go you and I.8 -
I didn't wear jeans, I never really have. I worked in a lot of places where a uniform was provided which saves money on clothes.Chin up, Titus out.7

I've never had the legs for mini skirts. Or jeans come to that. These days it is comfy trousers for every day and long skirts for State occasions.
burtha, nice to hear from you. Sorry that your youngest DD is having problems. All you can do is to stick with it and keep reminding yourself that it will pass. That wretched kidney stone again!
Gloom, doom and heavy showers forecast for today. Oh, goody goody.
Unfortunately staying in bed with a good book isn't an option. My very old toyboy will be expecting me. The clearing up project is SLOWLY progressing. At this rate we may be able to walk across the sitting room without impediment some time this side of Christmas. Or not, as the case may be.
