Oh Hester how dreadfully sad for your friend. Life can be so B cruel.
Small victories - sometimes they are all you can hope for but sometimes they are all you need - be kinder than necessary, for everyone you meet is fighting some kind of battle
  • VJsmum I meant to mention if you decide to try sprouting you don't need all the fancy sprouters to try it out . I began years ago with jars and muslin squares . If you become an addict the tiered sprouters are good in a small space .
The most important bit is the rinsing and draining .
You can sprout many things . I started with the Organic gardening catalogue which you can order free online and still buy most seeds from them . sprouting seeds are available in garden centres and other stores .
I garden organically so if you do the same check the details in the catalogue I mentioned as not all their seeds are organic .

Hester, do let your friend know that there is a small army of concerned folk here who are grieving with her. So sad when a time that should be full of happiness and rejoicing turns into one of the saddest times anyone can go through.

Hester, every year on Pickle's birthday I will remember that little girl,

Awful thing to happen Hester, worst feeling ever. Been there.
I need to ask a really stupid question here - a cooking one :) What would you throw into the slow cooker with lamb? I did a big lamb stew last week and one of the things I put in was broccoli, which tasted even more sewagey than it usually does. Is there some rule that i don't know about re brocc? And what will taste good with lamb? TY!
