Packing sorted, just waiting to be put in the case tomorrow. I'm going on Saturday NM so thank you for your good wishes - maybe you'll have found somewhere to live by the time I get back, I do hope so.
Saw the new Kingsman last night - funny with essentially British humour - really enjoyed it. Tree surgeons here at the moment cropping my 3 fruit trees that have got too big for me to manage - can still do the apple tree though. List of bits and bobs to do today - the benefit of sorting holiday clothes has been a small pile to go to the CS today.
Got a London road here too Mar - wonder if it's the other end of yours lol!Small victories - sometimes they are all you can hope for but sometimes they are all you need - be kinder than necessary, for everyone you meet is fighting some kind of battle0 -
Enjoy your holiday Silvasaver if your tree surgeons were here today they'd need oilskins and wellies , it's pouring down with attitude .
Mar Maybe the vibrant active community is a secret underground movement or it could be the sheepies in the field . 3 people at the library van ? congratulations you survived a crowd !

With reference to streets named after places. Most of the streets are named after cathedral cities. I lived on an estate with similarly names and went to a primary school called Lincoln Gardens, We live on Lincoln now but not for long I hope.
I had a fake policeman at the entry system last night. I refused to let him in. A real policeman would not ask me to abuse the entry system. He wanted someone upstairs. Someone let him in but his uniform looked like a child's fancy dress outfit. No lapels badges or numbers on his shirt only police back and front.
It did not dawn on me he did not look right until this morning. DS says it is too late to report it to the police.0 -

Hester that is heartbreaking. I am so so sorry for your friend x'I'm sinking in the quicksand of my thought
And I ain't got the power anymore'0 -
Heartbreaking Hester strength and sympathy to all .
NM I would be inclined to contact the police . It could be something as daft as a stripper of just fancy dress but sounds odd and someone vulnerable and without the presence of mind to refuse entry could have been frightened by the idea of a "policeman" at the door .
The sooner you're out of there the better .
Tell your son positive thoughts help things happen
