I love your Thought Monna !and immorality for immortality has had me spluttering coffee everywhere .
thank you7 -
We had a preacher who said - it was so long ago - that no one remembers how the names were pronounced anyway.
Been out for air and exercise - called in at the material shop - as you do - and carried 13 metres of yummy fabric home with me - shop is closing down so bargain price.
Did some paper craft yesterday - activity packs.

Have to say that in one School Assembly a 10 year old boy did a beautiful reading that several times mentioned the "annual Passover."
Unfortunately, every time he called it the "anal Passover.
The entire school sat there rapt. The staff on the other hand, sat crimson faced, trying to avoid each other's eyes, trying to staunch their tears of mirth behind their hymn books.
It's something that comes up every time we have a staff reunion.I believe that friends are quiet angels

It is the end of an era for this fabric shop - woman's Dad opened it years ago and then she took it over. Now it is closing down.Decluttering Achieved - 2023 - 10,364 Decluttering - 2024 - 8,365 August - 0/45

Morning all.
Late start for me today. I was woken up by a cold caller supposedly from BT. I did my batty old woman bit and he gave up after a couple of minutes. Such a shame. I love stringing cold callers along and I do a good batty old woman, it seems to come naturally. I also do a good au pair, a good char lady, a good deaf person who has to have everything said two or three times, louder each time. It's disappointing when they give up quickly, it spoils all my fun.
I wish this weather would decide what it is doing. We go from bright sunshine and blue skies to black clouds and torrential rain in the blink of an eye. It's bin day today, and recycling. I've already been out twice to rescue my bin and collect up its contents from all over the road. Everyone else's bin seems to be OK, but I'm on the corner and get the wind from all directions.
Apart from that my day is my own. My friend treated me to a Chinese takeaway yesterday and there was so much that I have half of it left, that will be my lunch for today. I'm tempted to ignore all household tasks and have a day reading and knitting. In fact that is what I will do, I have a couple of letters to write as well, so that will ease my conscience.
THOUGHT FOR TODAY
I am a feminist.
I have been a female for a long time.
I'd be stupid not to be on my own side. (Maya Angelou)I believe that friends are quiet angels

Very good thought for the day. It belongs to the day when we did not do stupid things like vote against ones own interest.I don't get cold callers. I would love to mess one about. I don't seem to get the phone calls I need either. I still don't know what time my taxi is coming to take me to hospital and I still do know who I am going to see at which clinic.7

Hope you get to who ever you are going to see Maggie. Not been around much as the old laptop has a mind of its own at the moment. We bought hubby a new one - ex display and very cheap - just for his cricket scoring. I decided if he only uses it for that it wont get full of junk and start bu**ering about like this one.
Keeping busy as always, new grand baby growing fast and the other two are keeping my on my toes. Arthritis is a pain in the bum as always but frozen shoulders and carpal tunnel now gone. Just decided to invest in some premium bonds as I have a bit of savings, thought I might get luckyoff to catch up with you all, I maybe some time x
Clearing the junk to travel light
Saving every single penny.
I will get my caravan10 -
