We had a lovely rainbow last night, just as I was going in for my 2nd vaccine at the NHS Nightingale hospital! I thought it was very appropriate. 😊2025 Fashion on the ration

Sorry I'm late this morning..........correction, it's now afternoon. I've been a bit distracted.
I passed my driving test in 1963, it was one of the first when the test centres reopened after the Big Freeze of 62/63. The snow was banked up on either side of the road and you couldn't see where you were going when doing the backing round a corner bit. I didn't pass. I didn't pass the second time either, when I shot the traffic lights. Obviously. But eventually some short sighted examiner let me loose on the roads. The rest is hilarious history.
I can't help thinking that all the fun has gone out of driving, like it has out of teaching and lots of other things that are now so regulated, safe and boring.
Anyway, driving became a chore rather than a joy and I was more than ready to give it up. It is much less convenient, but I really didn't want to become the sort of driver of whom people sucked their teeth and said, "She really shouldn't be driving at her age."
Actually they've probably been saying it for decades, but not in earshot.
Hope you don't get a bad reaction to the 2nd jab MrsCD. It seems to be the luck of the draw whether you do or not. I had no reaction at all to either of mine (no sense, no feeling, said DS1. I'm re-writing my will) but my friend had a dreadful reaction to her first that lasted a good 5 weeks, and none at all to her second.
Well, the vacuum cleaner is sitting on the floor in front of me. It is bristling with silent reproach. I'd better do something with it.

I hope you put the vacuum back in its cupboard Monna, and told it to improve it's attitude.12

I did indeed GreenB. I told it that it was not going to be allowed out to play and shut it in the cupboard. That'll teach it!I believe that friends are quiet angels

2nd jab - headache, sore arm, but nothing like 1st one. DD is having an awful time since her 1st on Saturday lunchtime. She says she feels like she's been stabbed in her arm and it is painful to lift it. Also migraine type headache and generally feeling unwell. She still went to work... primary teacher!
I'm glad you told that vacuum where to get off, monna. They're worse than children for sulking.
Beautiful card and poncho Florenceem. I'm sure whoever receives them will be delighted.
