Nargleblast- oh yes I love a good yatter. I've spent the morning matching up eleventy million odd socks- who knew that there were so many shades of black!!! Fair made my eyes boggle. But I've persevered and there is now a carrier bag full of paired up socks that DS can take the next time he calls. What few pairs were mine are now in my sock drawer. And holey socks with their partners have been deposited in the rag bag. 
I know how to live the high life on my day off 🤣

Odd socks can be handy for small dusting jobs.

or just wear unmatched socks...  I do, though not as extremely as my DS who will wear one ankle sock and one football sock if that's what he first gets his hands on! 🤣 Mine at least tend to be vaguely related - similar colour, similar in that they've stripes or spots or flowers..

Small dusting jobs..............
1)  Stand in front of the object to be dusted.
2)  Take a good deep breath.

HOLD IT.  COUNT TO THREE.  READY.

3)  BLOW

Job done.

Monna I sneeze for about ten minutes and then my eyes and nose would stream for the rest of the day.

Ah, Maggie, you've probably left it too late to get yourself immune to dust.  You have to live with it for many years to build up a good immunity.  Too many people throw in the towel too quickly.

No monna I hate dusting so I don't dust until I see it I just make sure It is all gone by damp dusting.

MingVase - I passed my test at 38 - never enjoyed driving.
monnagran - No feeling smug here - we made space for the delivery of my washing machine but no way could you say that we have a tidy garage.
Dust - just ignore it - it is not shouting or screaming so I can live with it in peace.
This month is just like April - showers then sunshine and a glorious rainbow. I run around the house - well walk - to see which window gives me the best view.
