Talking of using stuff up...I have a pack of the tiny pompom yarn. It's awful to knit with, but my cousin is going to be a granda this Summer, so I thought it would be good to use some of it to make a baby blanket. It might take a while..... I don't swear, but could come close!
@monnagran, you are absolutely right about telephones. I'm sure people, including me, would have more time if we stopped checking them as much!2025 Fashion on the ration

Sorry, I don't know what happened to this morning's post. Circling the celestial bodies I dare say. I'll try again tomorrow.I believe that friends are quiet angels

I cannot believe that we are halfway through May already. In my head I am still in the "after Christmas" zone. However, the weather just lately could have something to do with this.
I don't have any strong plans for today so we will have to see what, if anything happens. I'm in Gangsta Granny's good books at the moment, I was making a chicken and ham pie for my fence-painter's birthday and had some mixture left over so made a small one for her. You'd think I'd given her unimaginable riches, she was so thrilled. I told her that she was easily pleased and she snorted and said that I'd known her for long enough to know that wasn't in the least bit true.
Indeed I do!
Still, I'll bask in the glow of her approval for as long as possible.
Have a lovely Sunday if you can.

Lovely to see you burtha and I can't believe that you need motivation to run. I thought you ran as easily as you breathed. It has always puzzled me how that can be, but there you are.I believe that friends are quiet angels

Been awol - exhausted from sorting out the garage - new washing machine was going in there and it was a tip. I blame Mr F. We don't have a car - just junk in the garage. Mr F is one of those - it may come in useful one day - get the idea.Decluttering Achieved - 2023 - 10,364 Decluttering - 2024 - 8,365 August - 0/45

some days it's easy , some days it's like everything else as seams hard work , but it's always nice when it's done . today was 14 miles , thought I'd do 5 or 6 , but good music on and time to clear my head , Monday to Friday can be a bit heavy going at times with "life" .. but my escape is a quick / slow run .... remembering to breath and how lucky I am to still be able to run .
never take things for granted anymore .
Yesterday I was having a go at driving my first moterbike , was lots of fun . need a lot more practice before I take my test .
never say never
still haven't got the hang of this sleeping thing ....
maybe I wondering what joys work will bring ...

"Sometimes it's easy........." There we go! We must inhabit different planets, you and I.
As for planning a 5 or 6 mile run and accidently doing 14 miles, the mind it doth boggle. If I run from my front door to my gate, a distance of, ooooooooooo, about 4 yards, that will do me for a year.
Mind you, in 80+ years of extreme laziness nothing has dropped off yet so the 'use it or lose it' threat hasn't worked in my case. I'm just not wearing anything out.
burtha, you are a wonder!
Florence I don't have a car either, but neither do I have a garage, a fact that I bemoan daily. All my junk lives in my spare room, which has been OK during lockdown, no one sees it but me, but I have friends excitedly planning to come over to see me. At the moment they will be sleeping on top of Christmas decorations, boxes of books, boxes of empty jam jars, bags of clothes waiting for the charity shops to open/me to fit into them/in case I put on weight again/summer/any combination of the aforementioned, pictures waiting to be affixed to walls, baskets waiting to be filled with various extraneous rubbish in an effort to tidy things up..........You know the sort of stuff.
The bigger things, are packed up outside the front door waiting for somewhere to put them. People have to fight their way through them as, short of climbing through a bedroom window, there is no other way of getting into the house.
So, Florence, go and gloat over your tidy garage and you can feel justifiably smug.
THOUGHT FOR TODAY
Tidying is just putting stuff into less obvious places.

Morning all xx
Waving madly at monnagran 😊. Good to see you my friend.
Can I play? I don't run, or bake, and I haven't knitted for years but I'm sure we'll find something in common.
