On the subject of teeth - Mr F discreetly took his false teeth out at a Bur.. Ki.. - wrapped them in a serviette so out of sight - yep - we were on a bus home to our holiday flat - looking after DD's cats - when realised - expensive! ( he was new to wearing false teeth and sometimes could manage without them better )Decluttering Achieved - 2023 - 10,364 Decluttering - 2024 - 8,365 August - 0/45

Florenceem, I'd have loved to see the waiters face when he unwrapped the teeth! Imagine the hilarity in the staff room afterwards. I bet they are still dining out on the storyI believe that friends are quiet angels

Art'noon all
We have some brave daffs attempting to flower in the garden and i saw some snowdrops this afternoon but that's it rahnd ahr way.
Sorry, Monna, i'm another who loves the lighter nights and mornings. I detest winter with a passion. Apart from my log burner, i lurves that i does.
Having been bored a little over the last week or so and desperately seeking things to do, 40 pieces of marking arrived this morning with another 40 due next week so i won't be bored for a while - at least not 'having nothing to do' bored.
I wanna be in the room where it happens11 -

MingVase said:Monna, we need a Mole Club!I agree Mar at least until Spring has properly sprung. It's been damp and dreary here today.I've been stuck indoors since 2nd Feb. Arthritis and Fibro flares and a nasty bout of Bronchitis. My jab had to be postboned unitil the ABs had a chance to work. Tomorrow will be a tiny shop at the little Coop and meds request to the surgery then home.monna Youngest had her jab on Saturday afternoon.. We had words as she insisted she and boyfriend would walk to the centre and back. With sticking rigidly to Stay indoors she was worried about going out. No idea how but she managed the walk ,was seen in 3 minutes and on her way again. The walking wiped her out and she's been fit for nowt since but happy she's done it and looking forward to the next one.She messaged me to say it was a tiny needle and I have faced worse in my life! The joy of being needle phobic.Thank you once more for having a word with the big guy. There have been a number of times monna has got her to various appts.I've just had to log in again. It's not that long since I last posted. It's taken 4 attempts although the info is in my password book. I make the same mistake every time. I've no idea how Ming/ Mar etc manages.I'll have to read todays thought again monna, head is a bit scrambled.Ming/ Mar may one enquire the purpose of this new fence? Nice climbing roses, evergreens or perhaps fruit? Lovely idea unless it's for hiding strange goings on. The therapy was working well so don't give up now.pollyx

I used to log out on the old platform when we all had a little green light. I'v never logged out since moving to Vanilla but if I don't post for a while often have to log in again. Been trying to catch up. Has anyone heard from burtha since she got to Loch Lomand? I'm mindful of she with empty cake tins who may have been busy making sweeties the Alnwick way.Perhaps I should invest in a drone and check what is happening behind that fence before the situation gets out of control.I've just been wondering what cheers me up on dark and dismal days, Top of the list is Owain Wyn Evans on NW weather. He has an amazing number of outfits complete with handkerchiefs, floral ties and cravats in many different colours along with various embellishments. He like the lovely much missed Diane brings the sunshine whatever the weather. It's a pity with social distancing etc Peter Kay can't make a sudden appearance during the forecast as he did a couple of times with Diane. That would be funny. It's strange what catches the eye in these odd times. Tomasz Shafernaker used to be my faourite often wearing jeans but only shirt and jacket visible. Recently it's looked as though all forecasters have been given a dress code which seems to involve some very ill fitting jackets which strain at the single button fastening. Matt Taylor seems to have got the one left at the bottom of the box.Someone asked recently how many suits Owain has and it was a lot. I had visions of his husband or some relative slaving over a sewing machine day and night.pollyxIt is better to light a single candle than to curse the darkness.
