Fisherman's Friend! In Canada, that is the brand name of a nasty tasting cough drop!Formerly Known as WonderCollie0

Collie Dog - yes - they're made here! Agree with you about the taste, they're foul. DH used to suck them all the time as he often worked outside in rotten weather but never suffered from the colds. In spite of their taste I keep them in stock for if I have a cough. One put on the back of your tongue as you go to sleep helps stop that nasty tickle that keeps you awake - very effective!Small victories - sometimes they are all you can hope for but sometimes they are all you need - be kinder than necessary, for everyone you meet is fighting some kind of battle0

Not a lot happening in our house atm.
We've decided we'll go to IKEA next week to replace some glasses that have got broken over the months. That's as exciting as it gets
Hope everyone is as ok as possible.0 -
I confess that I rather like Fishermans Friend cough sweets. There was another one which was really just a tiny scrap of black something but was pungent and powerful , I think it was called something like Melloids. I know that when sweets were unobtainable they were considered to be an acceptable alternative and were more readily available.
Don't downplay a visit to Ikea, Iveleaf. In our neck of the woods that constitutes a treat of the first order. It's a days expedition and much looked forward to.
My news is that, much to my surprise, I seem to have become the new owner of a bungalow. Well, my offer has been accepted, but we all know that is not always the end of the story. It remains to be seen if this one sticks.
Apart from that nothing earth shattering has happened in my life. Fingers crossed.I believe that friends are quiet angels

ooh... Monna, how exciting
I hope it all goes smoothly and you're in your new home soon. Maybe you could treat yourself to a trip to Ikea once you're in ;-) (I hate going to Ikea - last time I went I gave up because the queue at the checkout was taking me longer than I spent doing my shopping, so I went home empty handed).
