Hi Camelot! It's gone very quiet on here hasn't it! I hav'n't posted for a little while - just busy with RL TBH and nothing very interesting going on at the moment but still around and lurkingSmall victories - sometimes they are all you can hope for but sometimes they are all you need - be kinder than necessary, for everyone you meet is fighting some kind of battle0

I'm still around too, but more than a bit overwhelmed with RL. Will be back when things quieten down, or hell freezes over, whichever happens first.I believe that friends are quiet angels

I'm still around too but HWK has a very troublesome hernia which, thankfully we have a date to have fixed but not until late in May. It limits him to being almost immobile and he's uncomfortable all the time which makes him a little tetchy, understandably tetchy, so we're not able to do anything that's worth sharing and I'm feeling a little like Eyore on a particularly grey day most of the time. This will pass and I'll be back in a more positive place xxx.0

You can share your tetchy MrsL
though I'm sure you're not - just maybe a bit bleurgh as you're marking time until HWK gets his op. Thinking of you both.
Wondrous news for this morning - I washed my upright cleaner filters yesterday and put them in the airing cupboard to dry. They've all dried out except the large one which means............I can't hoover round today so I'll read a book while I'm waitingNo good deed goes unpunished lol

Well I posted earlier and it went off to that mse black hole so this will be short.
I'm sorry to hear HWK isn't well Lyn , you must both be going stir crazy. Once he's had his op it shouldn't be long until you can return to Tigger mode. We've had some sunny days here and it's pretty frustrating when normal life is put on hold when lots could be happening outdoors . Love to you bothxx
Real life is a bit bothersome here too as so many are experiencing . I hope monna you are soon sorted into the forever home and other friends here who are struggling reach a smoother path soon . We have had some very cold nights monna so maybe hell will freeze over .
I'm trying to keep calm and carry on but wish the clock could go back a few years and the B idea had never occurred to DC. Whether for or against, the billions spent and the effect on normal day to day life along with a climate of division among ordinary people has not been good
Hope the Thesis is going well VJ.
Take care all

Just delurking to send hugs to you Mrs Lw and commiserations to HWK. When DH had his hernia a couple of years ago
we went private as he was so uncomfortable and the waiting list unbelievably long. It was sorred in just a couple of days from first contact. Cost £3000 and against my principles but worth every penny.
Last month he had neurosurgery for a benign tumour between his ear and his brain which made him lose hearing in his left ear. He had the 11 hour op within 16 weeks and is doing well and his hearing is returning.
All good wishes to you both.

Thanks so much Gintot, really pleased to hear Mr.G has had his op and is getting his hearing back, far more complex and difficult to deal with for both of you and the surgeon. Isn't modern medicine a thing of wonder?0

Goodness Gintot, that was a long op! So glad Mr G is doing well.
Sorry I'm a bit quiet, rather knackered atm. I do read along. Best wishes to everyone0 -
Maybe we need to bring in comfy recliners and snuggly blankies ivyleaf . Seems many of us are knackered at the moment . Wishing you better soon . I'm trying to force myself out of the armchair to head to bed .

Sorry to hear HWKs isn't too good, hope the op goes well.
I'm having a few days away with a friend, we are in Dundee at the moment, heading to St Andrews today, the weather is gorgeous but a little chilly.0
