Bit chilly here too Camelot. The sunshine is deceptive.

Ooh, Pollyanna, recliners and blankets sound very appealing. You temptress you.

Everything is quiet on the house front at the moment. The owners of the bungalow I am hoping to buy have had their offer on a house accepted, so fingers crossed that something sticks this time. At the end of this month it will be 2 years since I put this house on the market. Perhaps I'll make a cake!

Lovely to see your post Burtha - you do sound much more positive even though things are still very hectic for you. Can just imagine you riding pillion!
Nothing earth shattering going on here - ppart from one of the cleaner filters I washed shouldnt be washed (looked OK to me!) so ordered a replacement from Fleabay.... unfortunately I still cant use the cleaner until the new part arrives......it's such a shame as I was SO looking forward to it (she says holding the tip of her nose)

Thamks for your good wishes Mrs LW. John was very lucky to have a top manin his field. Ivyleaf yes it was long. We were told 8 hours and I was frantic when we didn't hear anything from the hospital after 9 hours. He is doing brilliantly nearly 4 weeks on thank goodness.

  • I am a sporadic poster on here, have been floored by a new medication introduced to lower my blood pressure, all it seems to have done is lower me to the prone position, sleeping........I have an appointment to see the GP next week, if I can keep awake long enough. If I sit down I find myself falling asleep. Once awake its a race to get things done before I sit down and descend into the land of Nod.

OH has been working in the garden, I just cannot do it any more 15 minutes and my back feels like its broken in half, having been told to take care I do not twist or fall.....even taking care there will not stop a spontaneous fracture, my bones in my lumber spine are so weak. Gives one a load of confidence....... not!! It does however explain the 5" height loss over the last few years.

csarina, I was interested in your post. I have recently had my BP medication increased and I have the same inclination to nod off when I sit down. I thought that it was because I have had a particularly stressful time, but perhaps the doubling of my BP pills has something to do with it. My BP is still above average anyway.

I would like to have a bit more energy, that's for sure.

Snap re energy monna, but mine has nothing to do with BP. It's hard always being exhausted.

Hello all, still battling away here to clear the house and raise money for my caravan dream - slowly slowly catchee monkey as they say.

Hugs to Lyn and hubby and of course Csarina.

I have blood pressure meds, 3 different ones all around 5mg. I had one then my feet swelled so I needed the other then the third was to sort something else out. To be honest I am trying very hard to lose weight mainly so I can stop taking them.

It was our Ruby wedding Anniversary last week and we celebrated with a trip to Emmaus in Mossley - lovely countryside trip. We had cheese on toast and coffee and were very happy. We took a boot load of craft stuff for their recycle, re-use department and only spent 50p on an old saw to make a sign for Hubbys shed. Hubby decided it was a perfect day.

Hope everyone is getting the benefit of the sunshine and drying lots of washing outside.

  • Thanks Ginny, we're OK really, just not used to being limited in the way we are just now, an object lesson to learn patience I think seeing many folk have to deal with being restricted due to health issues 365 days of the year. HWK has his pre op assessment this morning and we've an op date if all is OK of May 16th so it will hopefully be back to normal for us in the not too distant future. Don't know if you've picked up our news that both the girls are giving us new Grandpickles DD1 in mid September and DD2 in early October? one little girl and one little boy I feel life is going to go up a notch in speed at that point so we'll need to be back to 'fighting fitness' by then. Hope all is well with you and yours, how's your little granddaughter getting on?

Still lurking - glad to see some positives - Monna fingers crossed, Burtha sending positive vibes, Mrs LW for HWK and the grandpickles.

So looking like we are still moving ahead on the sale of the "matrimonial home" - I have been up this week to move 6 plants and take some rose cuttings. Nsdh keeps phoning - I have the horrible feeling I'm being wooed - um 25 years too late
