  • Ive had nothing but problems with PA this week, very few studies and the ones that are there won't work. So frustrating as I was hoping to make the most of them before I go back to work.

I know from the past that they are usually very quiet during the holidays, that could be why they're rolled out the new layout now.

Wow, with all the running and planning and biking and decision-making, you've been super busy recently! I hope you're feeling chuffed and organised. :-)

Just hope that my thinking and planning goes as it should do, or it's back to the drawing board.

I think it looks like a good plan. I agree with WF regarding the cards x

  • Thanks jwil, I'm going to stick with Wannabe's idea as I think in the long term it's the right thing to do :) x

HI P, yes paying off the expenses card for a £0 balance sounds good then you're straight to begin with.

Do Principality let you have pots to hold money rather than different accounts?

Any news on the job front?

Yes, Principality let you have a maximum of 5 Pots on your account, you can label them anything you want, set yourself a target and even a date you want to achieve the target by.

To withdraw the funds, you move the money back into the main default pot. It has worked wonders for me in the past and I really should've kept using them.

No news on the job front yet, DH is chasing his contacts too, he's more in need than I am, just hoping that something happens soon for him.
    • Update email address on Savings accounts - Done
    • Fill in & send off voters form - Done
    • Find and pay DD's travel - Done
    • Sort principality account for OD/Mortgage over payments pots - Done
    • Make a list of uniform bits needed- To be done
    • Check savings account for Christmas - Done

Managed to shuffle money about and pay DD's travel invoice, so she's all done for the new academic year.

My new pots look rather bleak now lol but at the end of the month they will look at bit healthier. I want to get her next lot of travel done by early next year, then it's one less thing to worry about.
  • Okay September is creeping up, I'm not going to be about much towards the end of August, so I want to get them done and on virtual paper now ready, so if needed I can just alter/add them accordingly.

    September
    • Lunches to work - at least 20 days achievable
    • Groceries - need to work hard on this one
    • Meal plan - Goes hand in hand with the groceries
    • Running - I need to keep this one going
    • Sleep - Should be better now that it's a bit darker in the morning
    • Surveys/competitions - must keep this one up
    • Quidco - I should have a pay out from this one, this will go off the BC

With the Overdraft, I'm thinking that once I get to £100 in my pot, I will transfer it over and reduce the OD that way, so that it will reduce gradually.

Good goals there for September. You seem really focused lately.
