Morning,
I have so much going around my head at the moment with regards to the debt.
By my calculations, the debt may have increased by £1000 overall but if we hadn't paid off as much as we had so far this year, the debt would be in the 20's, so I am NOT going to beat myself up about it.
Where we are that extra £1K should be gone by Christmas along with some extra (with any luck) so we will be back to where we were at the beginning of the year.
I will know where we are once I have the final figures and can then plan next year.0 -

Okay so with Principality, I have now set my pots up as follows:
General - This is my default pot - will be used as my emergency pot
DD's Travel - Yearly
Overdraft - Will make a monthly payment until I hit target
Mortgage Overpayment - Same as above
Cars - Again as above but no set target, will be used for all things car related
Trying to think of anything else that I can make a pot for, Christmas is with my HSBC saver, so don't want to move that.
ETA - I can only have 1 more pot, so want to make the most of what I can do0 -

Sorry another post....I did mention that things were going around in my head
Pot 5 - I'm thinking of a Household pot, so things like general house stuff or decorating stuff etc can come from it?
Birthdays/Christmas will remain with my HSBC saver for ease.0 -
Morning,
I think I finally have everything in my head straight after yesterday :rotfl: I had to write it down just so I knew where I was and where I wanted things to go.
The Pots finally look like this and I feel happier now they're in place.
General - This is my default pot - will be used as my emergency pot
DD's Travel - Yearly
Overdraft - Will make a monthly payment until I hit target
Mortgage Overpayment - Same as above
Cars - Again as above but no set target, will be used for all things car related
Household - Everything house related - may include Quarterly and Yearly bills??
DD's travel pot is for at least the next 4 years whilst she is at school.
Once the overdraft is gone, I want to start putting money in the kids bank accounts to build them up a bit.
IF DH gets another job, we could have an extra £250pm in the bank. This will help massively with the pots too.
I need to set my goals for September yet, Augusts ones haven't been too bad, but I could improve (always my mantra!)
I did a run last night, my legs ache, but I think that was more to do with the 2 hour round bike trip we did on Sunday...still it was better than doing nothing.
Hoping on a few surveys today, PA has gone quiet and I don't like the new layoutInching closer to pay out with OP and limping along with PB.
I've got my lunch with me today and I have a cuppa soup in my drawer to eat too.
I need to pick up DD some verruca stuff, so will do that on the way home tonight.0 -
I forgot to mention that I had to merge the Cars and Household one as I was only allowed 5 pots and that included my default pot but for tracking purposes I will keep them separate on here.0

Ive had nothing but problems with PA this week, very few studies and the ones that are there won't work. So frustrating as I was hoping to make the most of them before I go back to work.0 -
Wow, with all the running and planning and biking and decision-making, you've been super busy recently! I hope you're feeling chuffed and organised. :-)Starting debt (Aug 2018) £17,900
