  • Thanks lovely, I doubt much will come from today to be honest not until he's pinned the bloke down.

Yes, the travel is a bit much but if we were paying for DS too, it would be horrendously expensive. It does still work out cheaper than her getting two buses to school, so I'm happy about that :D

  • Agency bloke been and we've had a chat...he's going to try a new line of attack and let me know how he gets on. Basically put it across that I don't want to leave but need to consider my options.

    So we'll see :)

  • I was once told that its a good idea to make a plan of where you want to be in 6 years from now. I was told that the plan should be no more than 5-6 items, any more than it is overwhelming and any less and you have nothing to aim for. I have done this most of my life, sometimes it works and sometimes 'life' gets in the way and the plan doesn't happen.

I have thought for sometime about where I want to be financially and I have made my plan and finalised it.
    • All annual bills paid in full each year
    • All debt paid off – Aim 5 years
    • Money in savings
    • Overpay mortgage
    • Budget better

DS will be coming up to 20 and DD will be coming up to 17 by then and I don't want this to carry on, I'd like for us to help them financially if and when they need it.

My personal six year plan is a lot different but moving house was on it and that has happened, so that is going the right way.

Moving this one along, so that I remember what my long term plan is :)

Hi ya, how annoying that the permanent contract is taking forever I hope it's resolved soon with a good offer.

The 5 year plan looks great, this is something I should do as sometimes it may look like there is no end in sight with the debt but actually we're getting a step nearer each month.

So do I, looking back through this diary, it was April when they mentioned it and the agency bloke has been chasing every since
  • Whilst I have this going around in my head, things I need to get sorted -
    • Update email address on Savings accounts
    • Fill in & send off voters form
    • Find and pay DD's travel
    • Sort principality account for OD/Mortgage over payments pots
    • Make a list of uniform bits needed
    • Check savings account for Christmas

These are fairly imminent, especially the email addresses as I have changed mine.

I'm hoping that now I've written it down, it will give me the push to sort it.
  • Good Morning....it's Friday, which is always a good thing in my book :D

I got a whatsapp message from my agency bloke to say that he's had a response, that it's all in hand and that my contract will be discussed with the MD and that they will go back to him. Watch this space.

Had a fairly good week this week, meal plan gone to plan, brought my lunch every day and have spent very little.

I need to adjust my LTW target as I am holiday for a full week and then we are back at Centre Parks towards the end of the month.

I'm tempted to pay the £5 odd off the Cap One card, to round it down. I am nearly at my £7K target for the year, albeit there was a little bit of cheating at the start :D I will do it again next year.
