Re putting the fuel on credit cards in your circumstances I wouldn't as you already have two cards with substantial amounts owing on it and a hefty overdraft. Nothing throws out budgets like credit cards and the temptation not to clear it one month then never catching up is just too tempting unless you have strong financial discipline. Maybe once you have paid the overdraft and one of the cards off you could do as we do and pay for groceries and fuel on a card then repay in full monthly.

Yep, I totally decided against that one for me, but was an on the spot thought at the time.

DH on the other hand does need the Cap One card when it is empty to use as sometimes his expenses can be as high as £1000 which over a month can be a hefty chunk but if it's just used for his expenses once they come in, it can then be paid off straight away :)

Yes. There is nothing wrong with that as hopefully by the time the payment is due the expenses are in.

  • That tune was going around my head from the moment I woke and even on my drive to work....I'm taking it as a positive sign :)

It is 3 days until payday and 2 days until Operation Blitz the Kids Rooms :D

All things are not rosy in Mr Pmo2's work and as such hubby is on the look to move, for the job he does finding a new job will be easy and he should get one quickly. I told him that if the fun has stopped, then it is time to move.

One good thing about the kids being on holiday is that it saves money being put on their school accounts. They don't get much so I don't mind giving them dinner money on Fridays.

I think I mentioned yesterday that I have signed up to bring my lunch next month, so I have set myself a target of 22 days.

I'm out on a hospitality evening with the site team and the client tomorrow night, I'm going to be driving so it'll be a cheap night. I hate nights like that but it kind of strengthens my case to be made permanent.

I'm starting with my allowance again for the month, I know that I have set myself a target with the LTW but I need something to break the week up or it'll get boring and I'll lose momentum, so even if it means that I buy myself something for breakfast once a week.
  • Morning (just) although it'll probably be the afternoon when this ends up posted.

DH dropped DD off at the drop off point for Guides, it was strange him doing it, when it has always been me. Still DH said she was excited and was eager to get going. She should be nearly there by now.

Company/Client event tonight, I'm nipping home first so I can shower and change first and then over to the place for 4pm.

Not much else to report, except by golly gosh it is HOT!!!!!

  • Afternoon,

Things are all go my end, DH is now officially looking for another job and DS is away to Cadet camp.

DD is home alone and loving it :rotfl: her peace will be shattered on Friday when DS is back :)

Payments made to the CC's, the MBNA will be under the £6K mark at the end of this month :j the Cap One card is half what it was :j DH is now going to use the Cap One card for his expenses, I'll just keep a tally of the remainder of what is on the card so I'm still paying it off IYSWIM so it will still be 'gone' by September.

I've made my lunch both days so far this week and I've only spent 30p of my £10 allowance.

I went for a run last night and I'm slowly getting there with it. I have a year to train so far, until I can find one in July next year.

I still haven't meal planned for the month, I really should get on with it.

Great going on the card repayments, and keep up with the run - you've plenty of time, any help needed let me know (it's my job x).

Hope dd has a lovely few days, it is nice to spend quality time with one of the kids sometimes.

Hope dh finds a job he enjoys soon.

    H x
