    How's everything Purple? H x
  • Afternoon,

Sorry I've not posted, there hasn't been much debt busting wise that I can report.

I'm just under £500 off my £7000 target for the year, so happy with that.

I can see the end in sight with the Cap One card, albeit a slow one so I'm happy I did the decision to move payments about and the MBNA is inching toward the £6000 mark.

No news on going permanent with the company yet.

I've had a payout from PB this week, OP is nearly at the half way mark and I'm nearly at payout with PA. These will go off the Cap One card once they hit. Have to wait until September for Quidco payout for the home insurance.

I've also been hiding out on the competitions board, I used to do them regularly and then stopped but thought I'd have another go.

DS had a great birthday last week, just DD's to sort at the end of July for August.

I have also done something but I think I may have lost my mind though....I am going to do a 10K run next year for charity, for what would've been my dad's 70th birthday  I can't/won't back out of it now especially as I have set up an FB page too (gulp!)
  • Glad things are going well :).

  • Morning,

I should stop being AWOL....it doesn't do me any good!

Work is going good and I have been told that I will be taken on, they're sorting out the contract/offer, so hopefully I should hear soon what they want to offer me.

Background stuff is gradually settling down and life is beginning to get back to normal although it will linger on for much longer, it isn't in the foreground any more.

Surveys are going good, I'm waiting on one survey to clear on PA then I can cash out and I am half way to a pay out with OP, PB is building up again after my last cash out the other week.

No overpayments made to the Cap One card, but this should be done in the next week or so once PA cash out hits. Will be well under £300 mark :D

My agency have again signed me up to their pension pot thingy, so when the paperwork comes through I need to opt out of that again.

LTW have been hit and miss so far this month, my head isn't in the right place to sort it out, will try again properly in July.

My AFD's are virtually non-existent, I'm not drinking excessively during the week but TBH the background stuff hasn't helped matters.

Found out a good friend of ours hasn't got long to live, she had her second fight with breast cancer and it has spread to her ribs, they've given her two months max :(:(

My training is going ok and my running albeit slow is coming along. I will be glad when the weather is a bit cooler though, running in this heat isn't ideal and saps my energy like crazy.

Both kids camps are now fully paid for, just got their kits to sort out, this weekends job!

Morning, good news on the contract I hope it's want you want to get.

Sorry things in the background haven't been too good and sad news about your friend, makes you appreciate everything you've got.

Good luck with the training, I have really let mine slip and I'm meant to coach others! I need to get back to it today.

Well done on sorting the kids camps.

    H x
  • Okay, so I've had a stern word with myself and need to get back into things properly.

This weekends shenanigans look like this:
    • DD swimming
    • Food shop - sort list out tonight
    • Run on Sunday
    • Reading for DS/DD's camp bits
    • Dye my hair - Priority
    • Washing
    • Ironing
    • Meal plan
    Next week looks like this:
    • No Guides for DD :)
    • Run Tuesday and Thursday
    • LTW as much as possible
    • Surveys
    • Competitions
    • Check saving account
    • Get better sleep

I'm half tempted to pay the odd £5 off the Cap One card and then pay the remainder once I cash out but that I think would be silly? although it would be through before the end of the month.

I definitely have to dye my hair this weekend, I wanted to see just how grey I am, the Vitiligo makes me grey quicker than normal but I am shocked now and slightly embarrassed that I have let it get that bad, so I need/must sort it out!!!!

I need to get off my bum too at the weekends, I'm spending far too much time on SimCity and not on my tapestry and not sorting the house out either.

  • Really sorry to hear about your friend, life can be very sad sometimes :(. I'm glad your background stuff is settling down a tad.

Your debt busting is going well by the sound of it and great news that you're going to be made permanent :T.

Such awful news about your friend, truly terrible :(

Fab news about your job though.

Sounds like you've got a good plan in place for this week :)
