Congrats on the Capital One card, wahoo! You've reminded me I should start running again, thanks. I find it easier in the cooler months (no way I could have kept running in the summer we had, I'd have died!)

  • Have a brilliant time at Centre Parcs.

I'm with you on the overdraft, it's worrying to think they could demand it back at any time.

  • Back! Centre Parcs was amazing but I am knackered now :)

So after last month's shocking realisation that we really need to get a better grip on things, I checked the final figure on the BC.... was my first thought, my second was it could've been a lot worse and a lot of the new 'debt' on it is interest and my car besides other things.

Now I have a proper figure to work with, that gives me a starting point of where I can carry out my plan.

The BC will be sub £10K before Christmas, which will give me an even better start for next year.

I have approx £30 to come through from Quidco this month and all survey monies will be thrown at the BC too.

I have signed up for 19 LTW days and 10 NSD's and will keep a close eye on the grocery budget too.

Here's to the next phase! Bring it on!
  • Glad you enjoyed Centre Parcs. Good luck with your new targets.

    Thanks H xx

All pots have been topped up again, once the CC one gets to £100 I'll transfer that over to the BC, so that should be November-ish.

Looking at my lil old spreadsheet, I should be able to pay £250 off the OD in January, if all goes to plan.

Glad to hear you enjoyed Center Parcs.
  • Morning,

Kids are back at school today, much to DS's dismay. He'll be fine I think but he's tired he says.

Lunch is soup and bread again today, I'm determined to stick to my target lol

DH and I looked at joining a gym last night, DH is definitely in need of one to help his back, I didn't like to local one in the town, it was too formal and just didn't appeal to me despite a 50% off the joining fee. Something to investigate and think about.

Mini Goals from now until December:
    • Get BC to £8.5K - No harm in trying :)
    • Pay at least £500 off the OD
