Afternoon,
I love a bit of a rummage.....managed to save some bits this morning for the site office, that were going to be dumped in the skip, cups, glasses and cutlery. It also saves the job money as we're not buying them
Brought my lunch with me to work today, so I am still on track.
Last night, we went back to the gym and I had a proper nosy and got more information about the place, the woman was more informative than the bloke the other night. So DH and I have signed up. It's got to be cheaper than the pub and the tat we pig out on and as I am aiming to do a 10K next year, everything helps especially when the weather gets colder. There was no joining fee and it is a monthly rolling contract, so we can cancel at any time.
I'm tempted to pay the odd £1.95 off the BC to even it up...how sad is that?! lol
I'm well over half way on OP and nearly at payout on PB :T0 -
I know exactly what you mean about the £1.95, just to tidy it up that little bit - I do that kind of thing.
Am still learning on here - what are OP and PB?Mortgage £119,533 going down slowly

Morning,
It's Friday...always a good day...it is also very chilly too...I think we are on the slippery slope to Autumn now, but all in all the weather has been good the later part of the year so I'm not complaining.
I did it, I paid the £1.95 off the BC, so it at least look tidier than it did.
DH got a letter through from the bank offering him 32 months at 0% APR if he took out their CC, I told him that I think we should go for it and then cut the card up once it arrives and he agreed. Thanks Monz for listening to my fretting last nightI have all the necessary paperwork with me and will apply on his behalf today, I'm sure I can always save the application if DH needs to do anything in particular.
If he gets accepted, which I can't see any reason why not, I can then transfer as much as I can from the BC over, obviously taking in to account the transfer fee to be added on top.
Got my lunch with me again today, cheese and pickle sandwich and a cuppa soup out of my drawer.0 -
CC application done and accepted
balance transfer application done to said card and should be accepted.
That's a bit of a relief, I know that we will have £300 extra on top of the transfer but that gives me more of an incentive to get shut of it.
The plan until Christmas is to pay £100 off each card and put £100 in to the pots account, so an extra £400 to go in, that will give us a bigger buffer for next year.
After Christmas I will split the £300 we normally pay between both cards but plough anything extra on to the MBNA as that one the 0% finishes Sept 2019 and then move over to the Lloyds one.
Finally we may be getting somewhere!0 -
Yay, that sounds positive!0
